Their is a button located on the 1-9 keys, it looks like a little monitor. Maybe 2 monitors.

Hold down your FN key (Function) and press that button, that will turn on the svga connector. Also if you press it again it should keep both monitors on, and again will switch back to only the LCD.

How solve in my POLYCOM VSX 6000 showing error "unsupported signal adjust your PC output"

Try using the S-Video output and then try using the VGA output from the VSX 6000 unit. The unit can be fixed to output from either as the first monitor output (you may have the dual monitor option enabled). If this does not work the resolution of the TV might be HD, the output of your VSX 6000 is Standard Definition. You will need a monitor that accepts standard definition. If this does not work, I would reboot your VSX 6000 and try again. David

You need to change the refresh rate, some monitors operate on 60 Hertz, and others on 70 or 72 Hertz, try changing the refresh next to the resolution choices.

I connected my hp laptop to my pioneer plasma via svga cables. When i select my pc input using my tv remote it says "plasma display no input signal". How do I fix this?

Hello. You have to go into your Display Settings, in your HP Laptop, and chose the Dual Screen/Monitor Setting & make sure you check the "Extend my Windows Desktop onto this Monitor" Box. If you are trying to view your Internet Browser on your TV - you will need to Click on and Drag your Browser to the Right... of off your Laptop Screen and onto your TV Screen. This will take care of your problem!

I have an acer aspire 5515 and im trying to hook it to a flat screen Regza tv i am using a svga monitor cable and it still isnt working

Somewhere on your computer's keyboard, you have a 'fn' key. Usually, this key is in the lower left corner of the keyboard. This key will need to be depressed simultaneously with another key on the keyboard that should have two pictures of monitors seperated by a '/' mark.

When you depress these two keys simultaneously, the computer switches from the output on the laptop screen to the output on the vga port.

Additionally, you will have to configure your TV to receive the signal from the svga port. Different TV's do this diffrerently, so I'm not sure exactly how you need to do it on yours.

Lastly, the sound does not follow this connection. So, while you are enjoying the use of the TV screen for viewing whatever on your laptop, if you are watching a movie or similar activity, you will not hear very much. Laptops are not designed to fill a room with sound.

good luck

Connecting TV via LAN to a laptop as a monitor

You can connect any laptop to any TV with an SVGA port by use of a pair of Baluns. These run about $49 each; you need two. Try They have several models. As long as your LCD has an SVGA or VGA monitor  input the baluns will emable you to send a signal from laptop to display.

Using s video output

Two things you can try:
1. You need to Activate your TV OUT feature in the Monitor setting of your display properties and select Clone so as to mirror what you see in your laptop's display in your TV. As you posted, the S cable must already be inserted before powering up your laptop; and/or

2. You may need to lower your laptops screen resolution. Most but not all TV units have lower resolution capacity than monitors. Perhaps try with the lowest possible setting (800X600) and when it shows on your TV, slowly increase till it blanks out again. pressing escape would revert you back to last setting that worked. Additionally you may need to lower likewise your laptop's Color Quality setting and/or the Screen Refresh rate.

Hope that this be of some idea/help. Pls post back how things turned out or should you need additional information.

Good luck and kind regards.
