Also, try by applying the patch WindowsXP-KB958644-x86-ENU, this has resolved the problem.

This is how you have to do it. You need to enable WIA - Windows Image Acquisition. now to do that follow these steps.

1. Click on start or the Window thingy.
2. Type Services or Services.msc in the search part.
3. Now scroll to the following services in the window that got opened.
Remote Procedure Call (RPC)
DCOM Server Process Launcher
RPC Endpoint Mapper
Shell Hardware Detection
Enable those services. To do so right click on them, click properties and make it automatic. Once you enable all of them start them. After all the services are started scroll for "Windows Image Acquisition" make this automatic too and start it. Just reboot your PC and you should be good to roll

Which SageTV version are you using.. Make sure you disable the two services for Hauppauge in the services.msc. You can't have both running. If you use SageTV with MediaMVP.

Click on Start for XP or Orb for Vista
Click on Run
Type: services.msc
Scroll down for MVP two services and make sure they're not started or enabled.

Reboot the PC also.. Make sure you have SageTV MVP Client Licenses to run your MediaMVP. There is a license needed for each MVP client you have. Thanks, __________________

Printer Spooler service!

This will provide you with the most common default settings.
  1. Restart (reboot) your system [to assure a clean reinitialized starting point].
  2. Log on as any Windows user that has 'administrator' privileges.
  3. Open your 'Services' console [Start button > Run... > type "services.msc" (without quotes), then hit 'Enter'].
  4. Locate, then open "Print Spooler" [double-click it OR right-click it, then choose "Properties" from the context menu].
  5. Modify the settings on the "General", "Log On", and "Recovery" tabs according to the following images.

Can't uninstall nero 7 premium on windows 2003 server

Download and install this:

Description of the Windows Installer CleanUp Utility

Run it and select anything Nero and remove it.
Go to Start>Run>Services.msc and stop any services that belong to Nero. Set the startup type to Disabled.
Delete the Nero folders in Program Files.
Go into the registry and check for Nero and/or Ahead entries and delete them. I suspect you'll find some in the Run or Runex keys as well as under Services.

You should be good to go.

If you're timid about the Registry then backup the keys you are deleting by right-selecting the parent key and going to Export. Save the key to a reg file.

"The RPC server is unavailable"

I?m assuming this is happening on a Windows machine. This is one of the really vague error messages that Microsoft give for an incredibly large number of problems. I typically see this on servers but have seen it occur on workstations. If you?re running XP, 2000 (server or Pro), or 2003: - Check and make sure your Remote Procedure Call Service is running. - There is an older vulnerability that tries to use a flaw in the RPC services. It is fixed if you copy of Windows is up to date so make sure it is. - Review your application log for any clues. If you need more assistance let us know your operating system, if it is fully patched and what is showing in your log file around the time you receive the error message.
