To do this procedure you must be jailbroken. If you aren't, you can head to our Jailbreak How To's section and pick the jailbreak for your version of iOS (currently at the time of writing this is 7.0.4). Once done with that procedure and you have Cydia installed, head back here to continue.
*Don't be scared, it's easy to unjailbreak your device.

access the root directory of your iPhone without using wifi, you need to
download iPhone Explorer. It's a free app that is the equivalent of
Winscp for people with wifi connection. With this, you just need an
iPhone usb cable. <br />

deleting apps are easy. just put the icons on wiggle mode by keeping your finger on one of the apps. Once they start wiggling just press the "x" that pops up on the top left corner of the app you want to delete. Once you delete all of the apps you can press the home button to stop the icons from wiggling. Just know that the stock apps like the camera, photos, clock, newsstand, etc etc you can't delete.
If when you say "themes" you mean changing the background from black to whatever picture you'd like:
make sure you have the most up to date software update on your iPhone by syncing it with iTunes and clicking "check for update"
If it's up to date, go to your photos on your iPhone and view the photo you want as your background.
tap the icon at the bottom left corner, select "use as wallpaper"
from this screen you can position the photo as you'd like, and hit set. It will then ask you if you want it to be the wallpaper for just the home screen, just the lock screen, or both.
make your selection and wala, it's done.
If you mean how do you completely change the interface... this is done by "jailbreaking" which would void your warranty. I discourage you from this but there are plenty of free guides on the internet for that.
There are 2 ways First is directly from your iPhone, second is through iTunes on your computer. Both options require that you have an Apple ID. If you have no Apple ID yet, here's a guide on how to create one:
CREATE YOUR APPLE ID
Once you have an Apple ID, you can now download free apps from the App Store including Yahoo Messenger.
Install directly from your iPhone:
Open the App Store app on your iPhone and go to Search tab (fourth on the bottom icons)
Type Yahoo messenger and tap on search
Choose the top result or the one having this
Tap FREE and tap Install
Provide your Apple ID password and click OK
That's it! Just wait until it completes the download and installation and you'll be ready to chat away!
Installation though iTunes:
Open iTunes and log in to iTunes Store
On the search box at the top-right corner of iTunes window, type in: yahoo messenger
From the search results, click the same icon as above and click on FREE. That will prompt iTunes to download the said app.
Connect your iPhone to your computer and sync.
NOTE: Before you sync, make sure that you backup first so you won't lose any important data.
