Question about HP DeskJet 840c InkJet Printer

Wont prit printer shows no ink although the cartridges are new wont print even test page wont load paper

Reboot the computer and the printer..
then try to do a "Print Test Page"..if it still does not print, turn off the computer again, unplug the printer from the back of the computer ( I assume it's connected via USB), then plug the printer on a different usb slot on the computer.. you may have to re-install the drivers. make sure you have the cd for the printer.

The Ink at the head of your Printer Cartridges has dried up.
Try this:

Load some plain paper in the printer

Remove the cartridges from the printer and carefully dab the print heads of the cartridges with a damp paper towel. ( when you start to see ink, the ink is starting to flow).

Replace the cartridges into the printer.

Go to:

Start
Control Panel
Printers
RIGHT click on this printer
choose Printing preferences
services
clean print cartridges 9some papers may print)
follow the instructions and do the heavier cleaning as well

Run the calibration function and allow the paper to print.

  1. First, check your cartridges. HP cannot guarantee the quality of remanufactured or refilled cartridges.
  2. Second, make sure your paper is not causing the problem. Paper that does not accept ink well can cause your images to smear or bleed. Plain paper is not the best choice for high-density graphics. Click here to see how to pick the best paper for your project .
  3. If the paper is not the problem and you are using genuine HP cartridges, print a clean test to see if the printer and cartridges are functioning properly. Load the printer with clean, plain, white paper and print a clean test page. To see how to print a clean test page, see your printer's User's Guide , or see HP Deskjet Printers - How To Print Internal Tests , or HP All-in-One Product Family - Printing Self-Test Reports .

I have replaced ink cartridge that was low but it still will not work ,keeps telling me that I need a new cartridge.Saying printer does not have enough ink to ensure printer health. The empty ink cartridge...


Press the left arrow and the setup button together..
You will find Support Menu.. press the arrow key to come to Prit test menu.. click ok on that ..
now, press the arrow button to choose Nozzle test..

even after that if it continues to show the error, and if you are not able to print anything from the computer..
You may try by doing a L2 uninstall and then reinstall ..

My hpdeskjet 940c wont accept a 4X6 photo paper It tries but the paper doesn't slide through


Print a test page only in black. If little to no black shows, you need a black. If your color cartridge seems full, only get a new HP black ink cartridge.

Not printing


have you tried to replace the ink cartridge?
if ink cartridge is new yet it's not printing, try to print a test page by going to Start>Control Panel>Printers and Faxes, then right click on the printer icon with a check mark on it, select properties.. then click on "Print test page".. if it prints or loads a paper but it's blank, then it means the printer is working, it may have run out of ink..

If it doesn't print, or doesn't load a paper, most likely there's a problem with the software for the printer.. you may have to re-install the printer drivers..

P3150 printer runs but doesn't print


Are you saying that the printer prints in B&W but not in color, or only that it will print a test page with B&W? It might be that the color ink cartridge is dry.

Not responding to PC instructions to print data


Hi,

You need to load the PRINTED ALIGNMENT PAGE on the scanner glass, then press on "OK" button. It should start scanning the alignment page. That way, you are completing the PROCESS of ALIGNMENT.

Won't print


Try the following steps:

Check for and remove any grayscale settings. Use the following steps to check this setting.
  1. In the program, click File and then click Print . The Print dialog box opens.
  2. Select the correct product and then click Properties . The Properties dialog box opens.
  3. Click the Color tab.
  4. Check the Print in Grayscale setting. If necessary, unselect the setting.
  5. Click OK to save the settings.
If this doesnot work:

    1. Open the Printer Toolbox .
    2. Open HP Solution Center .
    3. Click Settings .
    4. Click Print Settings .
    5. Click Printer Toolbox .
    Now Click the Estimated Ink Levels tab. This will tell u that the cartridge might be running out of ink even if the graphic shows that there is ink remaining in the cartridge.Lines or streaks always appear in printouts when the cartridges begin to run out of ink. Replace print cartridges that are out of ink or low on ink.
  • If this doesnot work:
  • If the Print in grayscale option is not the problem and the print cartridges are not low on ink, print and evaluate a self-test page to determine if the cartridges or printer is causing the problem.
    1. Load the input tray with unused plain white paper.
    2. Press and hold the Cancel button and then press the Start Copy Color button.
    3. Release both buttons. The self-test page prints.
    This will definitely work for u.
