Two methods are there to use your phone as modem 1)you can use your PC suit to use your phone as modem for You need
*USB cable or Bluetooth on your mobile
*PC suit software provide by phone manufacturer(ex:Nokia,Samsung,LG,Sony Ericsson).
To use your phone as modem *install the PC suit softwareConnect your phone to PC via USB cable(I recommend you to use USB because it's faster)
*Open PC suit and select "Connect to internet"
*if its failed you can use manual setting by selecting "Connect to internet">Select access point>select the name of network operator from the access point list(if you did't get your network operators name in the list you need to contact your network operators customer care they provide the access point name you need enter this access point in the manual updation list now it works.

1. install the Samsung Omnia modem driver on your Windows PC - can be found @http://www.samsungmobile.com/promotion/omnia/fr/sub02_xp.jsp 2. if you have installed Active Sync on your Windows PC then make sure that before you connect your mobile device to PC you disable "Allow USB connections" from the Active SyncOption menu 3. after you connect Samsung Omnia to PC, on your mobile device go to START->PROGRAMS->INTERNET SHARING and select the connection type (bluetooth or USB - most commonly used would be USB); tap "Connect". Your Samsung Omnia will connect to the mobile network if you have set up a profile for GPRS/HSDPA according to your billing plan provided by the network operator.
This usually happens when the phone is plugged in to a PC or Laptop, the symbol means the phone is trying to syncronize data between your phone and pc, this might also happen when bluetooth is on or your phone is checking for email via wifi or HSDPA.
