Hi,
a 6ya Technician can help you resolve that issue over the phone in a minute or two.
Best thing about this new service is that you are never placed on hold and get to talk to real repair professionals here in the US.
click here to Talk to a Technician (only for users in the US for now) and get all the help you need.
Goodluck!

SOURCE: sandisk flash drive

Is the account that your tying to access the drive with an Administrator account? If not, Log in as Administrator and try to access the new drive. If you ARE using Administrator privileges on the vista machine, the problem lies in the U3 smart driver. Try downloading and installing the drivers for the XP SP2 os on scan disks website, If vista rejects the install package off of the scan disk website, let me know and i'll extract the drivers and build an install for them for you.

SOURCE: Camera reads, computer doesn't

That is odd. Try the recovery software that comes with the sandisk cards and see if you are able to get them after that.
Do you format your cards each time in the camera before shooting?

I have Microsoft Picture It 7.0, Is this software compatable with Windows Vista. Installed it but can't get it to work. Thanks

No, this software is not compatible with Windows Vista and will never work correctly. Microsoft will never release an updated driver to make it compatible. I went through this very thing myself when I bought Windows Vista 3 years ago. I spent many hours trying to make it work and even contacted Microsoft on this issue. I finally gave up and purchased Microsoft Digital Image Suite Anniversary Edition which works perfectly. I suggest you do the same as you are fighting a loosing battle.

I'm using vista home premium os, however the problem I enccounter is once you install software which is compatible for windows NT, xp home and windows 2000, the software the one I installed is not properly...

Yes, if you use a Virtual Machine, you can install the version of windows you wish to work with, install the software, and it should work just fine.
You will however need a genuine copy of windows to install in the virtual machine.
You may be able to find an image of the OS you need, or a snapshot of an OS, to load into the VM, it all depends on the type of VM you are going to use

I had my comp. fixed and they put windows vista home premium on here and i can't play my old games that need xp what can i do

You can do 2 things:
1 - try to run them in XP mode  - right click on its icon, then Properties, then Compatibility, check 'Run this program in compatibility mode for' and select Windows XP in the drop down menu and finally at the bottom of the compatibility tab, check 'Run this program as administrator'.
2 - install http://www.microsoft.com/windows/virtual-pc/ , configure it and in it install XP and all the soft with problems, starting with the games.

Computer just won't recognize reader

Was referring to the configuration. P3, P4, etc. Older boards that have a USB 1.1 port sometimes have compatibility issues with some USB 2.0 devices.

I recommend trying it on other XP-based computers. If it still doesn't work then the device has a problem. If it works then it could be a compatibility issue with your PC.

Hope this helps.
