SOURCE: error " service 34 -6-

check polarity means you have the live and neutral to the oven swapped over, you need to change the live and neutral. service 34-6 means there is a communication problem with both the fan motors but this will probably be cured when you swap the live and neutral

How do i clear my errors

Good Morning Megan, thank you for allowing me to assist you! One of the best ways to determine if your appliance has a false error code is to reset the power to the appliance by either unplugging it or flipping off the breaker. It is important to wait roughly ten minutes and then turn on the unit. I ask that you please follow up with a comment on the post, at your convenience, to inform me if the error code does not clear so I may advise you the meaning of the error code and/or possibilities of the issue the unit could be experiencing. Thank you and best of luck!

Rational SCC 202 service 34-6

34-6 is a service code associated with both the upper and lower oven fans not operating. Check the fan motors. there is a green LED. they should be on steady. If they are blinking, watch and count how many times it blinks before starting over. that is the error code associated with the fan motor. If there is no LED lit, then the fan power supply has failed. The fan failure is a hexadecimal code. "2" is the master fan failure, "4" is the slave fan. "6" is both fans. data to and from the fans is via the I/O PCB. There is a data cable from the operator pcb to the I/O PCB, then on to the fans. The problem can lie anywhere. Fans, PCB's, or data connections.

We cleaned my kenmore elite oven. now it won't work. when i try and turn it on i get an F23 error. do you know how to get the oven/stove working again?

Error code F 23 indicates the control detected a problem with the communication link or can be generated as a result of irregularities in the power supply or usage.

  • The error code F23 can often be resolved by removing power to the appliance for a minute and then restoring the power.
  • By unplugging the appliance it allows the control to receive a fresh supply of power. This in turn will clear the controls memory of any irregularities it may have received from the power supply. Once refreshed the error should no longer be displayed.
  1. Unplug the unit or turn the circuit breaker off for 60 seconds.
  2. Restore the power to the appliance by plugging it back in or turning the circuit breaker back on.
  3. Check to see if the error code is still displayed on the range.
  4. Run the appliance in the cycle that initially caused the error or attempt to turn on broiler.
If the error code is displayed, then service is needed. The unit should be inspected by a qualified appliance repair technician.

Should you choose to use Sears, the number to schedule a repair tech is: Sears Repair Department 1-800-469-4663.

Error codes E1 F2 whirlpool super capacity 465 oven

HI. This code is a good indication of a separated key pad ribbon or the actual key pad may be damaged. Use the procedure below to isolate the culprit.

1. Check keypad connector for firm connection (keypad connects to control board).
2. Press CANCEL. If error code returns after 60 seconds, replace keypad (also called touch pad or membrane switch). Some models incorporate keypad in to control board as one unit. In this case, replace control board (also called ERC or clock).

Kenmore Self Cleaning Oven displaying door error when trying to set up self cleaning. Door is closed but doesn't seem to lock...as a result I'm unable to clean oven with feature.

It appears your door lock mechanism has failed in this instance.

First - unplug the unit for 40 minutes and re-try.

For replacement parts - head on over to PartSelect.com or RepairClinic.com and enter in your full model number for a full parts listing.
I recommend both sites because ...

FixYa has no affiliation with either site - I have been using and recommending them for years - trouble free.

PartSelect has a great schematic database for locating the part on your unit and great "testimonials" for each part that often times includes HOW-TO information.
RepairClinic has pictures of each part they sell and also a great how-to and troubleshooting for basic repairs.

If your unit has never been serviced - there should still be an original service manual enclosed in plastic taped to the inside of the shell.
In the service manual are Error codes, maintenance procedures, and troubleshooting steps you can follow.

Anything too complicated or beyond your scope should be handled by a professional.

If you think you want to tackle the repair - and have gotten stuck on a step - reply to your question and I will be glad to help you out.

I have had my whirpool accubake for 10 years with no problems. Yesterday the cleaning folks came and after they surfaced cleaned the range I noticed an E0/E1 with a f5 code. Can anyone tell me what this is...

The E1- F5 error is a door lock error.

The control (TIMER) has likely failed in this instance - BUT...

Sometimes when you disconnect power to a range and reconnect it the electronic range control gets confused.
You should disconnect power again for 15 seconds and reconnect and see if that helps.

If it doesn't cure the E1- F5 error hold the bake button in until E0- F2 appears in the display.
This is the error for a stuck button on the keypad and is the way to clear the memory of the electronic range control.

Sometimes these work, but if the control has failed it won't make any difference.
