Front load washer LG wm2140cw with error code up side down FE. Any ideas what this means? Will start to run then error code shows up and it stops.

A tE error code on the display of the washer indicates a heating error, usually caused by a faulty thermistor.
  1. Unplug the washer from the power outlet for 10 seconds.
  2. Plug the washer back in and press the POWER button and then the SPIN SPEED button until No Spin is selected. Press the START/PAUSE button.
  3. Once the washer has drained, restart the wash cycle.
  4. If the tE error code appears again, close the water taps and unplug the washer. The washer will require repair service.

Rf265abwp display shows 4 8's in display last on

The broken wires at the ice maker can cause that problem. The temperature sensor and rubbery gadget holding it in place often fall out of place when the drooping wires snag on the ice scoop or whatever. The sensor assembly is held in place by a wimpy plastic clip that breaks easily. After fixing this problem several times, I finally made a metal bracket from aluminum angle, drilled and tapped 4-40 holes in it, and drilled the plastic icemaker to mount it more permanently. I added a wire tie to hold the temperature sensor wire up and away from possible snag sources. The sensor wire and wire tie are not shown in the photo below, but if you have the tools to solder the wires and fabricate a bracket it helps a lot. It is easy to get the ice maker out, once you discover how to remove the drawer from the slides (two plastic clips at the rear of the slides).
Pull the front cover off, take out the two screws, and unplug the wire connector and it drops right out.

Bracket installed. The sensor is not shown in this photo, but the wire comes out the right side and crosses in front of the metal bracket. The wire tie holds it to the bracket near the top center (hole not shown).

I get a te code all the time and a he code from time to time.

from Lg this is the meaning of the codes.
  • The heater circuit has failed if "HE" is displayed. Discontinue use and contact a service technician. The dishwasher requires servicing.

TE
  • "TE" means the thermistor has failed or the temperature of the water entering the dishwasher is over 194 degrees Fahrenheit. Turn the temperature down on the hot water heater in the home. If the error code reappears, replace the thermistor.
By the sound of this your heating system is malfunctioning and needs service.
If you need more on this let me know, but it is either your temperature sensor or your heating element or control board.

My microwave oven is displaying sensor error

On GE models, "SENSOR ERROR" appears on the display when:
  • Using the sensor feature, the door was opened before steam could be detected. Do not open the door until stream is sensed and time is shown counting down on the display.
  • Steam was not detected in the maximum amount of time. Use Time Cook to heat for more time.
We're happy to help you with free advice and we'd appreciate your thoughtful rating of our answer.
