Make sure the tool lever is all the way clockwise. It activates a switch that controls the brush roll.

6.0 hp 12 Gallon Shop-Vac 'exploding'

Those type of vacuums are designed for light duty work around homes anyways. For commercial industrial work as you are doing you need a sump pump. We used to drop one in a 5 gallon (20 liter) pail, drill holes in the pail and suspend from a rope. (you can put screen around the pail covering the holes if needed too). Use a stiff hose to expell the water. You can change to a flat hose like a pool waste water hose or fire hose after the water is out of the trench.

How often is it necessary to change the filter one on a Filter Queen Majestic?

The best thing to do to both, keep your Majestic suction and air flow strongest, and keep from pulling dirt & dust from being pulled past the filters which can cause damage to the motor, and charcoal filter, replace the filter once a month. If you use it longer than that it will both loose suction and will cause your Medipure or Enviropure "charcoal" filters to wear out prematurely. Mark the change date right on the filter or on your calendar to help keep track.

Hi, I have a canister Kenmore vacuum with power head. Everytime I use it, it smells sour. Its strong and like FEET with bad odor. My old Kenmore did the same thing but I used it anyway...because the power...

Never heard of this odor but if you have had it in both vacs it might have something to do with a disintegrating rubber backing on a carpet.
Arm and Hammer makes a baking soda based vac powder that will help eliminate some odors.
Do several things , get the powder and pour a tablespoon of it or baking soda into a fresh bag. Keep your filters fresh. If you use washable filters be certain they are thoroughly dry before reinstalling. And use a Mutli ply filter bag.. and NEVER pick up anything wet or vacuum a damp carpet

Which side should face me (black or white) when I put in the CF-1 replacement filter?

The white side is filter media and the black side charcoal. The black side should be the side that the air flows out of and the white the side that the air flows into.

Miele Revolution Vaccuum cleaner manual

Under the download section is the owners manual. This is for the same series Miele that you have so this manual will have most everything you need to know. The black filter is a charcoal filter, this is good if you want to control the odor but don't have allergies. If you have allergies you might wont to get a HEPA filter. I would recommend changing the filter every 6 months to a year. You need to use the empty filter when you want to use it as a blower. The hose will not fit into the opening with the HEPA or charcoal filter in place. I hope this helps.

Water isdischarging from the exhaust of my new Ridgid Wet/Dry Vac

Hi Robinm61,

I always have the filter in - - it helps protect the motor.

If you're going to vac liquids, I recommend use of an intermediate trap to stop most of the liquid from getting to my vac (makes clean-up a LOT easier). A cyclone-top (available at Rocker.com, for example) fitting on a 5-gallon pail works great. The liquid is mostly deposited in the 5-gal pail, and doesn't gum-up the guts of your vac. You need another section of hose, but that's another one of those tools that is hard to have too-much of. (Rockler also sells a nice hose as part of it's Vacuum Tool Kit - also at Rockler.com). If I can be of further assistance, let me know. If this helps or solves the issue, please rate it accordingly.

Thanks in-advance,

Jon

Yes they can be used together, and they would fit in the same slot if there is room.

Bissell 630 w

Well the 630W isn't a good model number, but if it is a month or so old, then it should be covered under warranty. You can call Bissell and find out where to take it for warranty service.
