SOURCE: How do you adjust the stitch length on Consew 226 R-1?

if it is like the other industrial machines I've used, here is the general principle:

On the machine there is a button with no label. Hold button while turning the handwheel toward you. When you feel the button depressl you can adjust the length. Hold the button in the machine and crank the hand wheel back to decrease the length of ths titch and foward to increase it. I usually put a notch on the fly wheel for my standard length with some nailpolish. Release the button and sew to test the length.

This machine doesn't use a knob, there's a button to push which engages the stitch regulator under the machine.

I would suggest taking the machine in to be adjusted and make sure they can work on that model machine, and if they can, then the same day you get it back, sew on it to make sure the problem is fixed.

I have a Consew 206RB and it feeds backwords. How can I fix this?

I have a Consew 206RB-1 , if I had This problem I would think the stitch length setting or the downward pressure of the upper walking foot is wrong.

If you set the stitch length to less than 0 it would be in reverse and feed backward.

My stitch length is not what I have it set for. I set it on 5

I assume you mean it stitches 6 or 8 when set at 5.
Because the number shown on the wheel says "5" doesn't necessarily mean 5. It's just an approximation. You'll note that when turning the wheel there's tension. The numbers are just numbers. It isn't a micrometer, its a sewing machine. So, you can simply adjust to get the stitch you want then make a mark on the wheel at that point. You may end up between 4 and 5, or between 5 and 6. No matter. Wherever you get 5 per inch is where the adjustment is.

Lengthening stitches.

You can adjust the length of the Zigzag (Satin)
Stitch using the buttonhole fine-adjusting screw. You will find it right above your stitch selection dial.

> For a longer stitch length, turn the
buttonhole fine-adjusting screw with a large
screwdriver in the + direction.
> For a shorter stitch length, turn the
buttonhole fine-adjusting screw with a large
screwdriver in the - direction.

Hope this helps

In need to know how to adjust my stiching and needle adjustment/ the bobing is jamming(not stiching)

Stitch length is adjusted by holding down the small button in the bed and turning the wheel to the desired number of stitches. The numbers are either on the wheel, next to the belt pulley, or under a small cover on top of the machine. Hold the button and turn the wheel either toward or away from you to get the stitches you want.
Bobbin jamming is either because of incorrect top tension or incorrect threading. Go to www.consew.com and get a parts and operation manual for free for a 224. It 's the same as the 226.
