Question about Singer Confidence 7469 Mechanical Sewing Machine
I have a new singer confidence quilter and was using it and it became very tight and noisy while sewing and switched it off and noticed the hand wheel is very tight to turn what is the problem?

I am having exactly the same problem. I called the Singer helpline and was on hold for 28 minutes before I gave up. I emailed them instead. Did you ever figure out what was going on?

It sounds like you have to take it in and have it checked by a repair shop, without seeing it, I really do not know what you are saying, as in "hook", turning the handwheel backwards messes up the timing, you always have to turn it towards you. Look at your manual and please identify the parts you are trying to explain with their correct names or we really do not know what you mean

Make sure the bobbin winder is in the position away from the bobbin stopper. When you fill a bobbin, you have to push the "spindle" towards the handwheel. If you do not push the "spindle" back into position (away from the handwheel), the wheel will remain locked.
