Question about Video Game Consoles & Games
Could you tell me how I can play with a european PAL PS2 racing game on my canadian NTSC PS2 console ?
And is it possible to save my PAL game progress on the NTSC memory card ?
I heard about some kind of a PAL-NTSC converter, but is it reliable and is there any danger of damaging my console by using some sort of converter ??
Thank you for your time
Go to a search engine like www.metacrawler.com and search for "Swap Magic". The Emotion Engine processor that is reading the data from the game is told not to read certain Discs if the region code does not match the conoles country code. It mayl save a game to the memory card but not play the game or run the movie.

First of all the new laser lens will not allow your Slim to read NTSC UC games if you have a PAL european Console.
There is no reason the New laser should have not read the disc unless it Came to you damaged. It sounds like you know how to replace a laser.
