Question about Office Equipment & Supplies

Wont print at all.

I have a lexmark X1100 series printer that wont print, all i get is a blank page. I have check and made sure cable is connected, print cartridge is properly installed.(new ink cartridges) I have installed the driver from the CD. I have tried everything even cleaning the base of the ink cartridge and the contacts. Any ideas anyone?

Hi
I went out to Lexmark website below.
http://www.lexmark.com/
Click on...drivers and downloads (right above the word shortcuts)
Then select what preferred language...(U.S. English)
This next step is going to require looking at your printer, printer manual, etc. to select which printer you have. Click on the picture then it will bring up the model #s of that particular make..
Then click on that model # it will then take you to what Operating System you are running. Choose from the list.
Once this is done the download may take awhile depending on the internet speed.

Make sure you are inserting the correct color cartridge versions for the Lexmark X1150 (either #26 or #27).
Try to clean the cartridge nozzles. On your computer, open the Lexmark Solution Center, click Start > Programs > Lexmark X1100 Series > Lexmark X1100 Series Solution Center. From the Maintenance tab, click Clean to fix horizontal streaks. Your printer will then print a page that will help clean the nozzles from possible dirt and clogs.
If that doesn't help, try to insert a different known working cartridge (e.g. your old cartridge or another new cartridge). It could be a faulty cartridge issue.

My laptop cannnot locate my lexmark x1100 series t


Make sure the Lexmark X1100 Printer Driver is installed on your computer.
If the printer driver was already installed and working with your computer, please follow steps below:
A quick fix for most communication errors can be achieved by resetting the printer and/or rebooting the PC.

1. Disconnect the printer from your computer.

2. Rebrick (pull out power supply, black box where the power cord is plugged in at the back of the printer, and put it back after 30 seconds).

2. On your computer, go to Control Panel > Printers and Faxes.

3. Delete the Lexmark print object.

4. Reboot your pc.

5. When your pc turns on, reconnect the printer.
6. Wait until your pc fully recognizes the USB connection. To check, go to Control Panel > Printers and Faxes. If you see a new Lexmark print object in the list again, then try to print again.

Printing blank pages


I am assuming that the printer is connected to a network. Please check the network cables to make sure they are secured, and then try printing the network setup page. The network setup page will show status connected. If the status is not connected, contact your system support person to make sure the network is functioning correctly


Before sending a job to print, make sure the printer is set to ready state. Ready or Power Saver appears on the display. Please check the status of the toner and check that you are using the correct printer driver.

How to install my lexmark x1100 all in one printer without cd


First thing you need to do is uninstall the current software and printer.

Then go to: X1100 Series Driver

Select your operating system...Vista...from the drop down menu.

The next page has the link to download the driver. (It should be cjrX1100EN.exe. Click on "Download Now".

When you begin the download and the download window appears, select "Save" and direct the download to save to your desktop.

After the download is complete, close all the windows, or other programs.

Make sure your printer is ON but also that the USB cable is DISCONNECTED. Double-click the file on your desktop that you downloaded. When prompted by the software, connect your USB cable.

That should do it. If you run into any problems, just comment back.

In this case what i would Request u to do is......... Goto Control Panel goto Printers folder......... There u will see the Lexmark Printer Icon........... Just right click on the Printer Icon and click on Properties......... Now click on Advanced and goto Print Processor......... Change it to Lexmark X1100 and NTEMF 1.0008........ Click on Apply click Ok now try to Print.......... Prints Fine............Issue Resolved........

I got a Lexmark x1185 from my sister, but no printer cable or installation software CD. What kind of printer cable and ethernet cable can I get to get it up and running and where can I download the...


The printer uses a USB cable to connect to your computer.

You can download the software from Lexmark Support

Enter your model number in the Search by Model box and click on the model when it appears.

On the next page click on "Download Driver" in the upper right.

Next page select your operating system.

Next page select "Download Now". When the download window opens select Save and save it to a folder where you can locate it after the download. You can also save it to your desktop, if you like.

When the download is done close the window. Connect the power cable to the printer and make sure it is turned ON. DO NOT CONNECT the USB cable yet. Find the file you downloaded and run (double-click) it. When you are prompted by the software, connect the USB cable and continue to follow the directions.

Printing from computer


check the cable connections and re-install the driver/software
go to lexmark website and get the latest driver for your operation system.

Also when you print, make sure you are printing to this printer
print from word-pad or any other program OTHER than internet.

Did you make sure the cartridge nozzles were clean? They will dry out over a period of time without use. Make sure the driver your using is the latest version from Lexmark. Hope this helps,, Mechanic
