TEAC Television -CT-M809AV -no picture

We have lost the picture on our TV after my young daughter pressed a button ( ?AV - near the volume control ) accidentally.

We have a blue screen and volume on each channel but no picture.

I connected the DVD player to another TV and it works fine so the problem appears to be with a setting on the TV.

Is it possible to reset the TV to the orginal factory settings and if so how???

thanks in advance.

Maybe it's something with NTSC/PAL settings, or SOURCE SELECT. Check troubleshooting in your manual.

My daughter touches the buttons
If you go to this link it has the manual for your TV, looking at the picture and labels for your remote, it says to press 'normal' to reset all settings, I hope this helps

Adding a channel to TEAC television

Hi I had the same problem so I bought a cheap universal remote controller and tuned into this model.
Once it is done, press a number on the remote controller and you can start to tune manually.

I do not know about the solution for AV channel.

Hi there

Check your DVD or Video player manual for regional setting, you may simply be set to the wrong region. Some players have a regional button on the remote control.

Regional settings allow DVD's or Videos to be played on the same player by simply selecting the correct regional setting.

If you are on the wrong regional setting, your picture will most likely appear in black and white.

Switch from AV to regular TV viewing

You try pressing the AV button on the side, sequentially until it changes back to a Channel Number. It should cycle through AV1, AV2, RGB, etc
