Its detecting a strong signal, but when I enter my wep, it wont connest
Wrong configuration? The signal could be that of a neighbor. Give your wireless a unique SSID that you will be able to recognize.

Had same problem - said signal weak although strong on other devices, and hung on authenticating.
Cordless phone on base unit was beside wireless router. Moved unit and turned off phone. Problem disappeared, and signal showed strong.
