Question about Sony Video Game Consoles & Games
Yes, there are several ways to connect to the tv. HDMI is the (NEWER) way to connect the console. The reason being, is because HDMI carries both video and audio. The standard way to connect is by using the provided (RCA) cords that came with the system. They connect by splitting the video(yellow) and audio(white=left red=right) Almost all tv's out now have either HDMI or the audio/video inputs, and are typically cable ready.(little threaded plug in the back that your cable box hooks into) You can purchase a cable ready adapter from game stop or even use the one from an existing PS2 or PS1. They all use the same adapter from the system. The only difference is, if you don't connect with HDMI then you are NOT going to have high def available. It will be in standard def all the time. The final way to connect is a bit difficult. It requires a bit of knowledge in what your doing. HDMI to a HDMI adapter to DVI-I or DVI-D monitor. Some tv's come equiped with a DVI-D input so it can double as a monitor for a computer. This way WILL give you HIGH DEF and arguably the best picture you will ever get because you can set the frame rate (frpm) your self. Hope this info is useful. Good luck. ^^
