It may be jetted for the other gas. Check the instructions. Did it work before?

Testimonial: "this unit worked before when I relighted the pilot I had small explosions so I cleaned the gas line from the valve control body to the pilot area and when I hooked it back up and depressed the pilot lighting knob I noticed the propane flowing out like the line was completely open"

Where gas lines go

Normal setup is as follows...

The 3 spots on the carb are not all for fuel...the centre one is...the others are vents and are usually fitted with a short hose just to keep water out. T he fuel line goes to the bigger of the tap fittings.

The fitting on the necks are usually capped off apart from the one on number 2 which connects to the smaller tap fitting to provide a vacuum to the diaphram, allowing fuel to flow.

New gasNew Plug-- appears that the gas is not going past the primer bulb to the carb-hence not starting.

PLUGGED FILTER IN TANK OR A NEW HOLE IN YOUR FUEL LINE.. REPLACE THE FUEL LINE TO THE CARB.. MAKE SURE YOU DIDN'T PUT THE LINES ON THE WRONG FITTINGS ON THE CARB, JUST REVERSE THEM IF YOU DID , HIT THE PRIMMER AND SHOULD PRIME RIGHT UP.. MOST OF THE TIME ITS A LEAKING LINE.. JAY

Cannot put new hoses on the carb. I didn't take them off, and don't know what hose goes to the tank, primer, etcThank YOU KEN

Hi Ken,

If this is a chainsaw, you have fuel filter in the gas tank. Take the fuel filter with you when go to pick up new line. If it fits the filter, it will fit the rest.

Hope this helps. If it does, I'd appreciate a 4 thumbs up. Thanks,

most likely the regulator is shoot. But also try checking for leaks with dish soap and water in a spray bottle.

Can a Pentair minimax NT that is fitted for natural gas be retrofitted for Propane use

Probally the easyest convertion on the market. Where your gas line comes in the heater the line loops up over and down. There are two unions on this at the base of the loop. take these apart and their is a washer in one and you replace it with the Propane washer and put back together.

Fuel leak at the fuel line connectors on fuel rail

has this been taken apart before?? there are o rings inside the connector and a lil plastic backer piece, they can dry out and tear when pulled apart or score enuff to leak . is the fitting clean or rusty
same with the line, was it taken apart with the propper tool????
the coupler can be repacked if all the pieces are there. if indoubt
go to an auto wrecker and get a section of line with the fitting complete disassemble and repack yours be careful no damage
if beyond your ability get a garage to fix it ,leaky gas can spray back onto your exhaust n catch fire be aware!

Can't get the gas valve to release fuel when trying to light the pilot. took apart the line and there is gas, but the valve won't release when I press the plunger in. coleman trailer furnace was turned off...

Possible bad gas valve. When a gas valve fails it fails in the closed position. If you cannot get gas out of the pilot light chances are gas valve is bad. Call a service tech for freee estimate. Rus

Depending on the brand of line you use, Tygon line is self sealing but seems to shrink faster then factory supplied because of the ethanol in the gas. The stone gas filter is designed to fall to the lowest part of the tank, not stop the line from falling out.

Gas lines fell apart and I have new ones for a ryobi 790r trimer but do not know what line goes where there are 3 hoses could some one show me or tell how to fix this trimmer??? warren9@hotmail.com

Typical fuel line routing is:

One line (the one with the fuel filter in the end of it) comes out of the fuel tank and goes to the bottom fitting on the carburator. The second line comes out of the tank and goes to the bottom fitting on the primer bulb. The third section of line goes from the top fitting on primer bulb to top fitting on the carburator. Hope this helped and best wishes.
