How do I take apart the shell in order to access the main circuit board? There is not user information available anywhere regarding this matter in order to verify the board is bad.

Tristar vacuum model # A101N disassemble instructions

The A101N is held together by 3 #15 Torx (tm) screws. Two 2.5" long screws on each side of the lower shell (screws into the motor bulkhead on each side) and one recessed screw at the front of the shell. The front screw is a 1.5" Torx, all other screws holding bits and bobs on the shell are 1" don't have to remove them, but it's handy to know that all the screws on the outer shell are interchangeable, except the 3 that hold the shell together. In addition, there is a large metal tab that slots into the rear of the rubber gasket that is clamped between the two halves of the shell. Use pliers to pry the slotted part of the gasket (it's a squared off section of the gasket that sticks out on one end). The pliers can get the gasket off the tab, and a narrow-shaft screwdriver (phillips or robertson) can hold the rubbber flap away from the tab on each side. Once the gasket is off the metal tab, the two halves of the shell should just pop apart. When re-assembling the shell, remember to line up the motor bulkhead with the notch in the gasket around the motor housing, the shell won't close if the motor is mis-aligned. Also, start by inserting the metal tab on the lower shell into the notches on the gasket, then stretch, pull, and coax the gasket into place around the lower shell first, before replacing the upper shell, and screwing the two halves back together. I'll try to get a video or some pictures up later. WebRepOverall ratingThis site has no rating(not enough votes)

How do i remove the old hose assembly non my simplicity 7350 so i can install the new part? It seems to be locked in tight, do i break the tabs?

Are you just trying to put the hose into the cuff? If so, you just need to know that the cuff is threaded so the wire of the hose fits in the threads. If you're asking about the assembly at the top of the hose--I don't know. Probably you have to take the green shell apart and work from the inside. Good luck.

This sounds like an overheating issue. The motor is most likely protected from heating, some use the airflow through it for ventilation and cooling the motor. Then there is a thermal circuit breaker.

Bissel Proheat 2x circuit board

Use this link:;brand=Bissell_amp;model=_amp;part=

I had the same problem. Ordered a PCB from Bissel it took 2 weeks to arive. I fitted it, then it blew again, turned out the brush motor was short circuiting. Ordered a new motor it took 10 weeks. I have now had to order the second circuit board.

Over 3 months to get this vac fixed - my advice is - don't buy Bissels!

I assume you checked the belts to see if any cogs were stripped of of the belt. If ok, then I wuld suspect the brush roll motor, it is any inexpensive part and doesn't take much for it to fail. Undo the top so you can get to it and unhook the belt and see if it still shuts of, if it does, ten replace it, it it doesn't, then there is a problem with brush rolls or belts.
