It is a power supply regulator board fault. To get more details, http://electronicshelponline.blogspot.com/ It will be best to replace this board as card basis, rather than trying to make it repair. Contact the authorized service center for LG, to buy a genuine board.

My tv turns off randomly

Sounds like a bad power supply if you have a volt meter you'd want to take off the back of the tv and test the power supply with the volt meter to see if it's getting a constant power supply or if it is intermittent if it is call LG if it's under warranty and have them fix it if not look online for a new power supply and replace it and then you'll be good to go!

Medion lcd hd 31.5 inch tv won't turn on

I bought one also from ALDI for my son's Xbox 360, it is only 3 weeks in use and I have the same problem. The red led is on, indicating that it is in standby mode and recieving power but I can't turn it on either by pressing the power on button on the TV it's self or the on button on the remote. This started happening a few days ago and it's totally random. I found that if you unplug the TV from the power point or alternatively switch off the power point for a minute, than power it on again it will "WORK AGAIN" for a while. Like I said it is random, eventually it will return to the not being able to be switched on state at which time you will have to repeat the process. So thus, this is not really a solution. I am about to return the TV for a refund, and it's a shame because otherwise it's not too bad. and looks OK too.

TV randomly turns itself off and on

This issue is related to the TV's main board not seeing constant A/C power to unit so the board is turning off the TV.

When the TV's main board see A/C power back to the unit, the TV will try to turn back on.

This issue could be a loose power connection for the TV or a failing part inside the TV. Do other electrical devices work when plugged into the same wall outlet?

Try the following:
1. Remove the cord from the back of the TV and reinstall it (perhaps it's loose going into the TV and was not installed correctly).
2. Try putting the cord into a different wall outlet (perhaps it's not a good outlet).
3. Try using a new power cord for the TV. (Any matching cord will work for testing)

If the above did not resolve the issue, then it could be the switch mode power supply and or the main board inside the TV. Both items are easy to change out.

I can look up the LG part number for you.

LG Television 37LB4D "Rebooting"

Ours is crapping out just like yours. Picture goes out, "black and white squiggles" appear in the top left of the screen then TV input appears, then it either repeats or gives me my picture back. This happens with both the HDMI slots (tested all 3) and both Component slots. Seems like the bulb or a circuit board on the TV is faulty. What a piece of ****, never spending another dime on LG products. I did get it to come back by hitting the back of the TV with a good slap, but it gets really annoying.
