Hi,
a 6ya Technician can help you resolve that issue over the phone in a minute or two.
Best thing about this new service is that you are never placed on hold and get to talk to real repair professionals here in the US.

My GPX tv/dvd combo is making an intermitent 'buzzing' sound, anyone know how to fix it?

Is the sound coming from the speakers? (do you hear it with the sound turned off)

Either an audio problem if heard only with sound up or if a buzz with sound off it is a coil or transformer on the circuit board vibrating hard enough to produce the noise.

Both are fixable but require different tactics to resolve.

Sharp Aquos LC-26D4U sound problem

Yes this is a common problem. You have to have it refered to a TV SHOP. I can fix it for you but in CA. the wiring on the speakers needs to be upgraded to a thicker wire. The gauge is to small for the current needed to flow evenly.

TV speakers have switched off (i dont know how) how do i switch them back on again have used remote control to access sound options and does not seem to be a feature for on of off sound adjustment

Go into ur tv menu again,go to sound option again check what on the writing highlight on the tv SOUND SETTING now is it said VARIABLE SETTING.Than it is the sound setting problems,go into that highlight word VARIABLE SETTING just press the enter button on the remote to change it back to FIX SETTING.This should and will solved ur tv sound setting problems. If the sound setting already highlight word is said FIX SETTING.Than the tv have bad incomming broadcasting input signal cable or ur tv have bad or dead speakers problems to the tv itself. Not Sound Setting problems.

INSIGNIA TV WITH ILIVE BAR. 1 SIDE WORKS

Try swapping your cables from the sound-bar to the TV. If the sound still only plays through one channel but the channel has changed from right to left or vice-versa, then you have a bad cable.

If the performance is the same, connect a different device using the same cables to see if it's the sound bar input or the TV output.

Once you know where the problem is (the sound bar, the TV, or the cables) you'll know what unit needs repair or replacement.

It is entirely possible that a solder joint for the sound-bar has come loose. A soldering pen would easilly fix this if it's a bad joint/connection.

Hope this helps!

No sound on TV

Don't know the exact model you have, but generally when the capacitors are replaced, many CABLES ARE UNPLUGGED and RE-PLUGGED in the process, including the speakers. Have someone check the speaker connections. Also be sure the tv is not in "mute" mode or the volume is not set to zero.

Dell 32 inch LCD Tv volume and menue problems

We also have a 32" LCD Dell flat screen tv #W3201C that has no sound. It's about 2/12 yrs old. One speaker started having a problem and we disconnected it. That was a couple weeks ago, now there is no sound at all. Dell should not be let off the hook so easily. Obviously there is a problem with the tv and it should be Dell's responsibility to make it right. Does anyone know if a class action suit has been initiated?

Audio output not working

I had what may have been a similar problem and even talked to Westinghouse to see what I was doing wrong. Woman suggested there was a problem with the audio output port and suggested I exchange tv for another one. When the new one had the same problem, I discovered that to get audio out requires the volume to be turned way up on the tv (set speaker preference to external only if you don't want sound from tv speakers as well). If you have a digital optical connection on both the tv and the home theater, the sound output is independent from the tv setting and is easier to work with.

Picture intermittently drops out.. other problems

Tv pricing has come down quit a bit these days and like the typical computor printers the ink cost more. In your case the parts will cost you a lot. With all the problems discribed "buy New" and get yourself up to date with that of what you want a Tv to do for you.
