Question about Pentair Minimax Ch 250,000 Btu Natural Gas Pool Heater Millivolt Ignition
First, the normal color of the pilot flame is blue. When the flame appears yellow, burners should be inspected and cleaned. Is your heater pilot blue or yellow?
If the pilot seems fine, then I would test the ignition module. The good news is that if you are electronically inclined, I have a manual with the wiring diagrams so you can see how everything is wired up in order to test the parts and I also part numbers on it. So please check the ignition module if the pilot seems fine and use the manual to further branch back from the ignition module to find out why the burners don't all light. Another possibility to look into is gas pressure to all of the burners. Here is the manual on the following link.
Let me know of any further questions.
