Question about Sharp Kitchen Ranges
Since oct. 2009 my sharp electric range with microwave drawer KB4425L has repaired three times now my service person can't get repair parts I've contacted sharp and they can't even tell me if they still make this appliance and where I could even purchase one anywhere I have searched the internet and can't find one. Can you tell me if they are just pulling my chain or don't know
You might try an appliance parts supplier. They may have some or all of the parts you need.

make sure the wires going into the breaker box for the oven are TIGHT. there should be one screw for each of the 4 wires. two on the breaker and two on the busbar. if they are tight, get a meter and measure the voltage coming out of the breaker. measure across the two screws that you checked for tightness earlier. it should be about 220 to 240 volts. if this all checks out the problem is most likely at the range or the connections there. just make sure you shut off the power to the breaker when you tighten the screws with a flat blade screwdriver.

Testimonial: "Thank you! I'll give it a try."
FIRST DISCINNECT POWER........ If you can access the sides of the unit, look for a small cover on one of the sides. open it, a look for fuses. Replace with the exact fuse you took out. DO NOT ATTEMPT TO OPEN UP MICROWAVE IN ANY OTHER WAY!!!!!! Components inside that can shock/kill you.

Most people think that replacing a microwave door handle simply involves unscrewing the old one and mounting a new handle. The process is a bit more complicated than that.
Unplug the microwave oven from its power outlet or turn off its circuit breaker.
Open the microwave door and take the top pin off its pivot bracket. Lift up the door and remove it from the bottom bracket. Lay the microwave door with its front side down on a folded towel. Remove the two choke screws from the door frame using a Phillips head screwdriver.
Remove the choke cover with the knife blade, starting from the microwave door's top right corner. Pry out the bottom and top right sides, leaving the side which houses the door handle in place.
Remove the choke tabs from their slots on the microwave door frame using the knife blade. Continue to work clockwise around your microwave door; remove the choker cover when you get to your handle's side to separate it from your choke.
Remove the two handles with the Phillips screwdriver. Remove the handle from the microwave.
Screw the new handle in the position of the original handle. Lay the choke on the microwave door; set the choke cover right on top of it. Insert the choke tabs into their slots on the microwave door frame using the knife blade.
Secure the two choke screws using a Phillips head screwdriver; set the microwave door back on the bottom bracket. Slide the top pin into the microwave's pivot bracket.
Press the top pin down until it pops securely into place.

Make sure the controls are set properly: that the oven selector switch is set correctly and that the temperature switch is set to the desired temperature. Where applicable, make sure the oven timer is set to manual.
If everything comes on when it is started, like the light in the cavity and the fan (which one can hear running), and the timer counts down but it doesn't heat, the problem is probably isolated to the high voltage section of the oven. There isn't much a user can do to fix the problem without exposure to extreme hazards. You will need to repairman to help look into it.
