Question about HP Compaq Evo n620c Notebook
This is HP.com/Support, and the download page for the Maintenance and Service Guide, for the Compaq Evo n620c,
I would like you to scroll down to the heading -> Service and Maintenance Information
Under the pink bar with Title in it, view -> Compaq Evo Notebook N600c, N610c, and N620c Notebook PCs-Maintenance and Service Guide <-
I would like you to click on this.
Yes, I could just tell you where the Memory Compartment is, but this way you will have an exact Service Manual, from HP, and it will have this information, plus any other information you may need in the future.
(Sorry about the run-on sentence)
This way you will have detailed information, illustrations, plus photos. Makes life a whole lot simpler.
With that said, let me detail out about downloading a PDF file, and saving it, in case you've never done this before.
After you click on Compaq Evo Notebook N600c, N610c, and N620c Notebook PCs-Maintenance and Service Guide, you may not see anything happening, for up to 30 seconds. I wanted you to be aware of this. The file IS downloading, though!
Also, after you see the first page come up, (It may come up in 10 seconds), you need to let the PDF file fully download, before looking through it.
You can save this PDF file to your computer. This allows two things. You can view it anytime you want. You can also burn it off to CD disk, allowing you to delete it from your computer, and freeing up harddrive space.
To do this may look complicated typed out here, but it's not.
1.Click on the Floppy disk icon. In the top header, it's the second icon from the left. Hovering your mouse cursor on it will briefly reveal, "Click to save this file to your computer or another location"
2.After you click on the Floppy disk icon, another small window comes up. -> Save a copy.. <-
If you do not have your downloads set to go to your My Documents folder, it will go to your desktop screen. I suggest you do this,
At the top of the Save a copy.. window is -> Save in: <- , and a box to the right of it. Click on the down arrow on the right of the box. To the left you will see a file tree. Click on -> My Documents
3.One more thing. Unless you feel like looking for ->c00091009.pdf <- in your My Documents folder, and perhaps later on a CD disk you made, I suggest this.
Go down to -> File name: <- and the box to the right of it. You will see c00091009.pdf, highlighted in blue.
Put your mouse cursor right after the f in .pdf
Click TWICE. Now make 1 space with your spacebar. Type -> Compaq Evo N620c Service Manual
Now go to the right bottom corner, in the Save a copy.. window, and click on -> Save.
I suggest you start with Page 104.
Page 132 has your information you asked for.

the service is completely free and covers almost anything you can think of (from cars to computers, handyman, and even drones).
click here to download the app (for users in the US for now) and get all the help you need.
