Question about Masterbuilt Butterball Professional Series Indoor Electric Turkey Fryer Machine
Is there a rest button fryer has stopped heating
All appliances that produce heat have a thermal cutoff inside to prevent a fire or meltdown. It's a shame they make them so fragile that it may ruin your special occasion. If you cross the wires on the sensor it may run forever but might be a fire hazzard.

The formula for calculating turkey cooking time is 3 minutes per pound, then add 5 minutes to total cooking time, rounding to nearest minute:
13.86 lbs. x 3 mins 41.58 mins
Plus 5 minutes + 5.00 mins
Total cooking time 47.00 mins.
Insert cooking thermometer into the deepest part of turkey and make sure an internal temp of 180 F is reached.

I had the same issue and I used a stainless steel self tapping sheet metal screw to plug the hole, DON'T use solder, it is made of lead and is an extreme health hazard.
