Question about Samsung 4.3 cu. ft. VRT Plus , Steam and PowerFoam Front Load Washer
We saw a 3E error once during what should have been a spin cycle. The drum was not spinning for the cycle. We stopped, unplugged and restarted the machine. The 3E error has not re-appeared on the display. We also checked drain hoses and cleaned the debris filter. The display looks normal and we can set up a wash allright. But after pressing the START button, the drum does not rotate to check weight of load. The program just stays in this mode (lights spinning in circle on display) and won't continue to next phase of the wash. Thanks for any help.

I've had that same code, the machine completely stops and you have to start over with the load, the repair man samsung sent out still cannot fix my problem. he says there is a defect on these machines, good luck!

SOURCE: Machine stops with SE code
That code (5E, not SE) means the drainage is clogged. The code appears after 15 minutes of trying to drain the tube (not sure that´s the word, may be turbine, barrel...). check the lateral filter (a big plastic twist-off cap) for any solid that may be clogging the drainage

You might have an object jammed in the pump housing. First thing you must do is to unplug the machine from the power outlet. You will then need to remove the back panel of the washer to access the pump. Disconnect the wiring from the pump and remove the two hoses by compressing the two clamps. ( Be ready for water to pour out of the hoses) Remove the three mounting bolts that hold the pump to the frame of the washer and remove the pump assembly. It is easier to work on the pump if you remove it from the mounting plate. Remove the three screws that hold the impeller housing to the pump motor. Seperate the two parts being careful not to damage the rubber o-ring that seals the unit. Inspect the impeller housing for any debris. (I found a nickle blocking the outlet port in mine). Remove anything you may find and reassemble in reverse order. The machine should reset itself and run as normal.

3E means the motor is running below or above the programming RPM's, this is a real problem. hold down the two left buttons while pressing the power button. this will present you with the testing system. Press the temp button and T1 will appear. press the start button on the machine will move through the phases in 3 second bursts. if your drum doesn;t move your motos shot. Good luck
