Take the thermostat off the wall & jumper Red wire to White wire. if your furnace kicks on, then either the thermostat is bad, or it is not connected to the correct terminals. BTW, I'm assuming this is a single stage gas furnace.

Put in new Honeywell t-stat. Put new sequencers in. Heat runs for five min shuts off for 2 -5 min then back on continuously. Inside temp stays the same as set point???


What is the model number of the new thermostat? What could be happening is that the cycle rate needs to be changed or if it has a heat anticipator it may need to be adjusted.

Google search your model number.
Model number is on back of thermostat.

It probably has stopped outdoor unit and the blinking is to be done when working anamoni.afto heating and not to bring in cold air flashes the LIGHT as long heated air into the condenser.

with the fan in the auto position, the fan only comes on during a demand for heat.  does it not come on during a demand for heat?

Y1 W1 Wire from older Honeywell to new RTH honeywell


Y1 means for cool and W1 means for heat. Connect accordingly.
