You will need to re-install Abbyy Finereader software.

SOURCE: Could not read the ICC profile. Saving image canceled.

ICC = International Color Consortium.

The ICC's should be installed in the default printer directory.

Also, you may want to check the printer profile. In printer properties under the "color management" tab check to see if automatic or manual is highlighted. If manual is highlighted, be sure the print profile matches that of the paper you are using. You can select any of the included profiles as the default or add your own from a third source. Such third-source profiles are most often specified by your software provider

How do you save an email destination when scanning on ricoh aficio mp 7000

Not quite sure what you mean .?
Make a Template From a Scanned Item
During the course of running a business or operating a home office, you might come across a hard-copy document that you wish to copy and customize to use in the future.
This can be accomplished in a matter of minutes, whether it's a professional looking invoice, fax cover sheet, or any other type of document.
There is no real technical expertise required to convert the scanned item into a reusable document.

Place the item you wish to convert in your scanner or all-in-one peripheral device.
Open the device's software interface by clicking its desktop icon.
Select "Scan" and then scan and save it as a ".doc" file or word processing file.
Open the scanned item using a word processing suite, such as Microsoft Word or Open Office. Review the scanned item to ensure all characters were properly rendered during the scan.

Save the file as an easy to remember name in the folder of your choosing.
Then press "Ctrl" and "A" simultaneously, followed by "Ctrl" and "S."
Open a new word document by going to "File" and "New."
In the new document, press "Ctrl" and "V."
This creates a workable, editable document while preserving the original.
Save the new document with a similar, easy to remember name.
Customize the content of the new document to your liking, inserting your particular information. For instance, if it is an invoice you've scanned and wish to emulate, then replace the other business' name and contact information with your own.
Save the document periodically to avoid losing information.
Copy an Email Folder to a Hard Drive
An email file is a file that comes in your email with important information or pictures in it.
When you get information in your email account, you might decide to transfer the information to your hard drive.
This is a process that is easy to do, and it is a good idea to do it, because scam artists or hackers can get into your email account and ruin or delete information.
You can also save an entire email folder, such as your Inbox or Sent folder, by saving or exporting it.
Saving an email folder to your hard drive is extremely easy.
Open your inbox and click on the message that contains the email folder.
Right-click on it and choose "Save As."

Choose a location on the hard drive of your computer and click "OK" to save the file in that location.
Choose a name for the folder so you'll remember what it is.

Choose "Save" to save the email folder.

Click on the headings for your email folders where messages are stored, such as your Inbox, your Sent folder and your personally named folders.
Right-click or double-click on the heading until you see a "Save Folder" option. Depending on your email program, you might be able to click "Save As" and save the folder as a document onto your computer.
If you do not have a "Save As" option, look in your "Tools," "Menu," "File Menu" or "Options" menu.
Choose "Export" and specify the particular folder you would like to save.
As "Export Destination," choose the place where you'd like the folder saved on your computer.
When you click "Export," it will be saved.

Hi,
Follow these steps to scan using HP software:Step one: Load the item to be scanned
  1. Make sure that the product is connected to the computer.
  2. Turn on the product.
  3. Load the item in the document feeder tray or on the scanner glass
Tip

Load the following items in the document feeder tray :

  • Single items
  • Items that are not easily damaged
  • Multipage, single sided items that you want to scan into one file
Load the following items on the scanner glass :

  • Items that are easily damaged, such as old documents and photos
  • Multipage, double sided items that you want to scan into one file

  • Option one: Document feeder tray

    2. Adjust the width guides to fit the item.
  • Option two: Scanner glass

    2. Place the item with the print side down on the scanner glass. For the correct position, see the engraved guide near the corner of the glass.

I cannot email a scanned letter. I get the message: The operation failed. An object cannot be found. Microsoft Office Outlook. I have a new Del Computer and my existing Canon CanoScan 4400F. I can see...

As a quick fix, if I could see it on the screen, it should be possible to save it to the drive taking note of what name you saved it as. If you then drag and drop the file onto your opened email, it should attach to the email. If it doesn't, you should be able to drill down to where the file is on the drive via the paperclip symbol.

If the screen scan saves only as one page at a time, hopefully you can save each page as a PDF or convert what you do save to PDF. CutePDF or PrimoPdf may offer a driver for the conversion. There is a program called PDF binder (freeware) that does a great job of welding several pages into one file. Possibly the freeware program File Minimizer might reduce the file size. Yes, this is a time consuming work around but it gives you an option.

I doubtlessly have cracked up some other helpers with this convoluted method but at least you have my "bear claws and stone tools" method.

Epson

I know the error is on the printer but it may still let you scan.

Use the following steps to scan with the Epson Scan utility:
1. Open Epson Scan by going into START, PROGRAMS, and EPSON SCAN.
2. If prompted, select your scanner from the list of models and click OK.
3. In the FILE SAVE SETTINGS window, you can designate the location, name and type of file the scans will be saved as.

-LOCATION defaults to MY DOCUMENTS. Click BROWSE if you wish to change this.
-PREFIX determines how the scan will be named. Type any name you like. You can also designate a start number.
-FILE TYPE dictates what format the scans will be saved in. ie. .JPG, .TIFF, .PDF, or .PICT)
-For example: if the prefix is "img", the start number is "1", and the format is "JPG", the name of the file saved in
PICTURES will be "IMG001.JPG". More settings for file format are found under OPTIONS.
4. Click OK once settings are changed as desired.
5. The EPSON SCAN window will open and begin scanning in FULL AUTO MODE. In FULL AUTO MODE the software makes all the decisions for you (as to what is being scanned, where it is on the flatbed, etc). This is the easiest way to scan.
6. If you want full control over the scanning process click PAUSE and change FULL AUTO MODE to HOME MODE or PROFESSIONAL MODE. In the latter two modes you can change your scan settings as desired. Click SCAN after you have selected your settings. Click CLOSE once the EPSON SCAN is finished scanning.
7. When scanning is complete, your images will be saved in the location specified on FILE SAVE SETTINGS, with the prefix and in the format you set.
