Your carberator should be taken apart and cleaned with carb cleaner or solvent for at least an hour. Also check that your fuel hose isn't kinked. If your plug is not wet, then that means it isn't getting any gas to cylinder.

did you check the carb screen and fuel filter for clogs?
How good is the fuel pump? How is intake gasket?

Also check the fuel pressure. Make sure choke is clean and also try running half choke for a few minutes before going fully open.

Also check your air intake and filter for buildup and clog

If there is a good spark and good fuel getting to the plug, it may be the ignition timing is out, remove the flwheel and check the flywheel key has not sheared, if ok, pull the muffler off and take a look at the piston skirt through the open exhaust port, any signs off scuffing and it will need to come apart to assess the damage.

Engine compartment partiallly submerged in water now wont start

1) you will need to drain the engine oil and refill it before you get it running again, the oil will be contaminated with water + change filter too.
2) you may also have water in the fuel, add a small bottle of methyl hydrate (gas line antifreeze) to your gas tank to neutralize the water.
3) remove your air filter and replace with a fresh dry one.
4) remove all the spark plugs and drape a clean white rag over the plug holes.
5) crank the engine over for about 30 seconds then have a look at the rag - if there are wet spots, there is water in the cylinders. repeat until you no longer get wet spots.
6) leave plugs out for a day for cylinders to dry out, then install fresh new plugs. as long as there is no internal damage, car should start now.
7) change engine oil and filter again to make sure all water is removed.

Ok so i have a 07 yz 250f it wont start i rode it a few months back no problem now it has set in storage and wont start it not the gas its all new could it be the plug or old gas in the carb

If you think it's the gas in the carb, use the carb drain screw at the bottom of the carb, and let it refill with fresh gas. You can also force a fresh fuel draw by covering 90% of the intake and turning over the bike. The suction created by the piston will force a fuel draw from the main jet. Verify that you are getting fuel to the plug by checking to see if it's wet with fuel after attempting to crank it over. IF that is true, then verify spark. Let me know the results and based on what you say, I can guide you on what to look at next.

Toro Recycler with Techumseh enging will not start

Make sure it can breath. Check the airfilter element. If its oil soaked replace it. Sounds like this engine cannot breath. This engine is set ,there are not jets to replace. Champion Plugs are not the problem FIRE IS FIRE . Fresh Gas if it aint less than 30 days old it aint fresh. Todays designer fuel goes stale quickly.

Check the on-off switch? Try disconnecting the switch and see if it starts. If it does, replace the switch.
