My SA-AX710 overloads intermittently. The problem is a broken solder joint between a pin on one of the power transistor modules and the circuit board. To fix it, I removed the circuit board from the case and resolder the borken joint. Opening the case is easy. First remove the top of the case. Then remove the 3 screws in front. The front panel can then be pulled off. After that, remove all screws holding the connectors on the back. The circuit board can be detached from the case by removing the screws from the top of the board. Broken solder joint is probably one of the most common problems with modern electronics.

Turn it off...remove all the speakers and turn it on....If it goes into the protect mode. you have a bad power amp. That's the big black flat things attached to the cooling fins.. one or both is shutting the system down. If it doesn't trip out, plug a head set into the phono jack and see if you can hear the music there. Can you turn it up without tripping.... if it's still ok...hang one speaker on the system, if it trips thats the bad leg...check the speaker/wire

The question is what is causing the overload? The power supply or the output devices on the heat sink?
If you have accidently shorted a speaker wire, then the answer will be output devices, otherwise it could be anything in the power section. You may find a burnt or damged device with either of the causes.
