If the computer indicates that a critical file is missing you can always go into another computer that has the same operating system and make a copy of that file on a usb stick and then insert that file into the correct place. It is also possible that the cd rom you used to install windows did not properly read part of the install disk. You can try again or use an external cd rom to do the install. The likelihood of 2 different units both missing the same file is very remote, unless the disk is damaged and file cannot be properly read.

Testimonial: "the solution i found is i completely deleted all partitions and formatted than my computer is well"

SOURCE: Computer will not boot up

This is because of either the system has shutdown while it was processing a windows file. sometimes repairing the OS or running a CHKDSK /R in the recovery console will fix this problem. if that doesnt help i recommend you change your HDD

SOURCE: HP Pavilion a705w PC Desktop\Ethernet Controller driver

obtain the driver from cd/dvd that was included as you purchased your desktop and try to check if the driver supports with the operating system you are using now. for example the driver available in your cd/dvd is only for windows xp and your operating system you are using now is windows vista of course driver not installed. try to download from internet the driver that are suite to your unit model and current operating system this can fixed your problem or else downgrade your os tha can support the driver that are available from your cd/dvd.

\WINDOWS\system32\config\SYSTEM computer says that its either missing or corrupt. how do I fix

Dean,

To resolve this issue you can boot to Windows disk and run the "Repair Install" on one of the setup screens. This should repair the system32/config allowing you to boot back into Windows.

Step 1

Place the Windows XP Professional installation CD into your computer's disc drive and restart your computer.
Step 2

Press any key on your keyboard when you see the message "Press any key to boot from CD..." appear on the screen.
Step 3

Press the "Enter" key and then press the "F8" key.
Step 4

Select your Windows XP installation and then press the "R" key. The repair installation process begins, and takes about 30 to 45 minutes to finish. Once the process has finished, you can use the computer again.

I have duall opreating system. One is xp another one win7.When i format my laptop.than load first xp-32bit.Than i load win 7.after finishing all the win-7 instlation.restart the system than i feace the...

Hi.

The "tfght" message means that some of the files, folders and sub folders are compressed.
Boot the Windows 7 DVD, choose Custom install, on "Where do you want to install Windows" screen, click on Load Driver. Now use the mini-explorer which pops up to rightclick on System HD then choose Properties. Uncheck "Compress Drive to save Disk Space" for All Files and Sub-Folders. Restart.
That should solve the problem.
However you may have to start again. Click on the link below for an in-depth guide on how to dual boot XP and Windows 7.

My HP 5600 prints addresses on envelopes vertically instead of horizontally. I have just switched my printing from an Epson to the HP and don't know how to correct. Have I printed in the wrong format?

REINSTALL DEVICES DRIVERS FOLLOW THESE STEPS WITH THE CORRECT DRIVER NAME
Download the MyBook_vista_windows7_Driver_1.00.01.zip file and save to your desktop. Use a file compression software to unzip the file located inside MyBook_vista_windows7_Driver_1.00.01.zip to your desktop. You will now see a file called "MyBook_vista_windows7_Driver_1.00.01.exe" or "MyBook_vista_windows7_Driver_1.00.01" on your desktop. Double-click on "MyBook_vista_windows7_Driver_1.00.01.exe" or "MyBook_vista_windows7_Driver_1.00.01" to launch the driver installation program. The wizard will display a message saying that it is ready to install the driver, click Next. Accept the license Agreement and click Next Click Install to start the installation of the drivers. The driver will be installed without further interaction and should take only a few seconds to install. When the installation is finished, click Finish to close the installation utility. Reboot the computer system before connecting the My Book Essential or Premium Edition hard drive. After connecting the My Book Essential or Premium Edition hard drive, Windows will automatically detect the unit and a new hard drive icon will appear in the My Computer window. Your My Book Essential or Premium Edition hard drive should now be ready to use.

AFTER COMPRESSING MAIN DRIVE, TFGHT IS COMPRESSED CAN UP PLEASE HELP

Compressing the main drive using a Windows Programme, shouldn't give any problems.
I don't understand what you mean by TFGHT. What is that?
Using the compression utility, can de-compress as required, try running it again and decompress it noting what error messages are displayed, if any. Then try again, when it has recovered, or fit a larger Hard Drive maybe?

How can i format my hp notebook computer

for to format it whole ...you have to do it during the installation of the operation system ...or ...if you even want to get rid of the recovery partition you do not use..get the hard disk out and insert it in another computer and format it ..for this you need a laptop with dual hdd or a rack for hdd on 2.5 to connect it via usb..
But the simplest way is during the installation ...when yoi get to the previous installation just choose to format or delete and rebuild the partition and this is all...after finishing the installation the C partition will be reformatted ..for all other taht do not contain windows...you only have to right click on the partition and choiose format from the list and do it ...
