Why wont my scanner model 60 channel pro-2029 scan

Hi Chad,

Do you have any frequencies programmed into your radio scanner?

If not, then that is why you're not receiving anything.

If on the other hand you do have frequencies programmed, are they the correct frequencies for your location?

Are the frequencies the Tx or Rx frequencies that you programmed, The Tx frequencies are the correct frequencies to program, as Rx is the mobile(usually) Tx frequencies, and unless you're within 5 miles of that mobile, you won't hear it, and you certainly won't hear the base transmissions, unless it's a high powered Simplex Frequency.

I hope this has been useful to you.

Cheers,
Peter

Which channels should I use in the Ozark mountain range? which privacy codes should I use? is there an online manual I can use? thank you!

Choose from channels 15-22 GMRS frequencies. Privacy code can be anything you desire. It simply keeps you from hearing other users on the same frequency.

How do i delete a frequency already programed? and can i get a frequency at 46.5000?

Programming a new frequency into a channel automatically deletes and replaces a frequency already programmed. Or, to just delete, and leave an unprogrammed channel, just program 000.000 into that channel

Yes, you can program/receive 46.5MHz. The full tuning range of your scanner is 25-54, 108-174, 406-512MHZ.

Need the manual for your scanner? You can download and print it, at no cost, here:

How do delete a frequency code from my scanner i know how to program but dont know how to take a frequency off thanks

Just program 0.0 (zero point zero) into a channel to clear the existing frequency. Also, programming a new frequency into a channel will overwrite/delete the previously programmed freq.

How do you set up the scanner to scan police and ems channels

First you'll need a list of frequencies to program. For a comprehensive database of active frequencies in your area, visit:

www.RadioReference.com

Once you've selected your frequencies, power the scanner ON and

1. Press E/PGM to enter the program mode (the scanner turns on the
PGM icon).

2. If the current channel is not the one you want to program, enter the
memory number then press HOLD.

3. Enter the frequency including the decimal point, then press E/PGM.

4. To program the next memory, press or and repeat step 3. To
program a different memory, repeat from step 2.

5. To exit program mode, press HOLD or SCAN or change the scanner’s mode.

Notes:
• Any frequency you program replaces the previous memory contents.
• If you enter a frequency you have already stored in a different
memory in Step 3, the scanner beeps and displays the channel
where you have previously stored the frequency. If you want to store
the frequency anyway, press E/PGM a second time in Step 3.
• To clear the contents of a memory, enter “0” in Step 3.
• Channels you program are automatically unlocked (see
“Locking/Unlocking Memories) and have Delay turned on (See
“Setting Channel Delay”).
