There is a very good chance that you have a short from your starter motor .
If you are able to dis assemble , then do so and you may find that the wire attached to the bushes ( carbon brushes ) have become detached and eartnig on the case )
OPTIONS . get new brushes .
get exchange recon unit
get new unit
unlikely but possible the power cable to the starter has come loose and shorting too nearest earth .
Do not do any elcetrical work on the car without disconnecting earth lead on th e battery .

Interier fuse keeps blowing on start

It will be a dead short causing the fuse to blow. It could be in the starter motor or associated solenoid. Or in the glow plug relay circuit. Disconnect the glow plugs from the power wire to ensure they are not causing it, they probably wont be. N try to find the relay that operates them and un plug that. It will become a process of elimination. I hope that helps

We have a 40amp hot wired stove but now we just bought a frigidaire fef366dce with a 50amp. Will the new stove work well if hot wired to the 40amp

Hi,
The new stove may work but you may also blow the breaker/ fuse which ever you have... make sure to leave the 40 amp fuses or breaker in the box as the wiring will not be heavy enough to support a larger amp. fuse or breaker... that will start a fire!
You may find that you just cannot run all of the burners and the oven or broiler at the same time.

Hi, My son's 2003 Dodge Diesel keeps blowing the 40amp control fuse for the heater box. Any idea's? Thanks Martin

try to change the wire and make it thicker cause that will reduce the resistance and the fuse will not blow.

Power/ Ground Problem. Im running a 6ga Power wire to the battery (approx 6')with a 40amp fuse. The amp turns on, then about 10 seconds later blows the fuse. The ground is the same ga wire and is grounded...

1. Start by undoing your ground.
2. Use a jumper cable to hook up the ground to the battery ground.
3. Install fuse and test.

If it continues to blow you have an internal amp problem.

If it fails to blow a fuse you have a problem with the chassis ground.

If it is a ground issue you can chase down the various ground straps and clean the connections or you can run another ground cable to the chassis (body) ground to the battery to reestablish the connection.

Blowing of fuses

The reason your blowing fuses is the amp needs at the least a 150 amp fuse on the wire that runs to your bat. There are fuse blocks that you can put 4 40amp fuse and theres the high dollor ones that you can put all the way to 200amp. When you trun up your amp its drawing to much current for the little 40 amp fuse that you have and will blow it everytime. I recomend Running a 4 gage wire to bat and ground with same. Get you a 150 or above amp fuse from a car audio shop somewhere. anyway sounds like from what you decribed, theres nothing wrong with your amp just the wires and fuse are not big enouf to handle the current that your amp pulls.

40amp fuse blows

Measure the DC voltage across the B+ and ground terminals as well as across remote and ground. If you have less than 11 volts when the amp tries to power up, the amp could be shutting down due to low voltage.

If the voltage remains near or above 12v, disconnect all speaker wires and signal cables from the amp. If it powers up, the wiring needs to be checked. If it still shuts down or blows the fuse when you apply remote voltage (turn the head unit on), the amp likely has blown output transistors.
