SOURCE: dvd not playing.c 31 00 occur

The only thing you can do is get a CD DVD player cleaner with liquid. Found at any store these days, then run it a couple times. If it plays, Problem solved, if not, it must be repaired. They will put a new transport in the unit. Usually runs 100-150 to replace. Weigh the cost to fix vs. the cost to replace and the age of the unit before you get it repaired. Hope this helps

SOURCE: sony Mhc GS100 want power up

The unit is in protect mode because a problem was deteected in the final output stage of the amplifier. The pop in the speakers is a god indication that there is DC current in the output stage. This is not a good thing. This is a relatively common failure of all receivers and can easily be fixed by any shop that does audio repair. Expect a parts cost in teh $30-$40 range.

Look up "Hooking Up Optional Components" and assess what your PC's audio and video capabilities are that would use the Game Inputs. The Sony end accepts standard RCA pin cables x 3. Adapters are available at any electronics store to match your PC to that. Within the PC you need to configure the audio via whatever Sound Controls are in charge.

Where is the aux cable in a sony MHC-GX9900

Register and download the manual for free at retrevo.com

See Page 40.

"AUX" is just a generic label for any Line Level Input. On this unit that would be Video/MD (Audio In) or TV (Audio In).

When entering a game I hear sound but no picture. Plugged in correctly and TV set to HDM11.

If you are sure that you have your TV on the correct input, you can try resetting the PS3's video settings using the following procedure:

  1. Before changing cables, make sure the PlayStation 3 is turned off using the main power switch on the back of the PlayStation 3 (the 0 side is pressed down).

  2. Unplug the power cord of the PlayStation 3 and television (or display) from the wall socket.

  3. Make sure the HDMI cable is connected to the [HDMI OUT] port on the back of the PlayStation 3 system.

  4. Connect the other end of the HDMI cable into the [HDMI Input] port of the TV or display monitor.

  5. Plug the PlayStation 3 and television (or display) back in to the wall socket.

  6. Turn the main power switch on the back of the PlayStation 3 back on (the line on the power button is now pressed).

  7. While the PlayStation 3 system is in standby mode (red light on the front of the system), hold down the touch-sensitive On/Off button on the front of the system until the system goes into standby mode again . (So the light cycle would go from: red light to --> green light --> then back to red light) This will ensure that you have held down the On/Off button long enough to reset the Video Output Settings.

  8. Turn ON the PlayStation 3 and once the system finishes powering up, the Video Output Settings will automatically reset to the standard resolution (or detect the current display output settings of your TV/monitor).
If that does not resolve your issue, try the other steps here:

Hi there, everything seems to be working but there doesn't seem to be a signal going to the TV. Am just about to try using a HDMI cable. Do you think this will help?

What I did was initally hook up both the composite (R/W/Y) cables and the HDMI and switched between TV inputs until I found the display. Once I had the display (mine was on composite) I went to the settings, then display, and switched it to HDMI input. The screen went blank and I switched to my HDMI TV input and saw the display. I unplugged the composite and it was good to go. I also had to hold my finger over the power button for a few seconds when turning it on - I believe it resets the display to default, but it worked. Good luck!

In the event that it gives you a hard drive error shortly after, it's nothing to worry about. You won't lose anything and it will take a few minutes to run its course. Just make sure you never turn it off from the back of the system first, always shut it off via menu options.

Respectfully,

Don

Bought a Wii and using the standard cables it played great on a new 50' Panasonic Plasma as well as on our 2 year old 32' VIZIO LCD. Just upgraded to a 46' Sony LCD (W series) and the Wii looks terrible...

The Wii can display on a HDTV, but keep in mind the output is only 480p. It is not true high definition, and it will only display this using a component video cable. There shouldn't be a difference with LCD and plasma.

You will also need to go to the display settings to force the Wii to display in 480p.

Try a different input (safe to assume your Sony has multiple?) and see if it is that specific input. Also, try a different device like a DVD player or VCR and see if you get the same result.

Good luck.

My screen wont work i tried a hdmi cable but wouldnt work what do i do?

If you can get a display with the default setup (original cords) follow this procedure:

a) Plug in BOTH the HDMI cord and the other display cords to your TV.

b) On your TV, using the disignated video input (not HDMI) you should have the main screen

c) Go to settings, and then display settings. Set up your display to read HDMI. Your screen will go dark.

d) Quickly change your TV input from video to HDMI and it should still be displayed. Save the changes.

e) Shut off the system, unplug the original cords leaving in just your HDMI cord and your designated audio cord (preferably fiber-optic).

f) Turn it back on and you should be good to go.

Game video input enabling

Dear krismedia

You should first confirm that Audio/Video output cable from the hifi is connected to the TV , then you should connect the game console to the input section in ur hifi system. And finally see if the TV is in AV mode and also see if the HIFI is detecting in the input mode.
