Volumns can and have been written to answer your question. If you are seriously considering getting into machining, go to your local technical college or look on line for more info than you can possibly absorb. You tube videos are posted that can and will show you and give you so much information it boggles the mind. Good luck.

I'm going to assume you mean metal, since on wood it is called routing.

The number one problem would be insecurely fixed work pieces. Work out which way the cutting force goes, and try to have that directed to a solid part of the setup, not to a moving jaw or clamp.

Make sure your cutter is sharp. Blunt cutters generate enormous forces which can become dangerous. I have seen cutters shatter in this situation.

Know your cutter type and what it is capable of. Some types cannot do a heavy feed rate. Know your material and what it requires. Stainless steel for instance is treacherous because it hardens in the cut.

Use some kind of cutting fluid even if it makes a mess. Milling is a process which needs it, and you will get a better finish.

Never never put your fingers near the rotating cutter. I saw an apprentice mill his forefinger off once. He was feeling the surface finish behind the cutter.

Motherboard smoke when switch on CPU damage power connector on board

I would replace the whole power supply. You don't want to give it a chance to short out the board. If this is a just a run of the mill business machine the power supply should only be around 50.00 or less depending on where you find it.

What is gang milling? Do I need a special milling machine?

Gang milling is the term used for using multiple milling cutters mounted all on the same arbor. If you have a horizontal miller then you shouldn't need to get an other one.

Wont spin

Hello Trish Mills - Does the drain pump make a humming noise? If so, you possibly have a restriction in the drain line or siphoning. Try setting the cycle to spin only and verify if water pumps out. If it does not, the unit could possibly be experiencing an issue with the pump, door lock assembly or timer. Contact a professional to move forward accurately.

My xbox360 turns on but does not show on the television

The problem you are experiencing is closely related to the dreaded RROD (Red Ring of Death). It has the same causes and solutions. I suggest getting an experienced person to repair your console for you. Take care that no one is doing the "Towel Trick" instead of an actual repair.

I run an electronics repair business and would be happy to fix your machine for you, email me at Jordan@jordanselectronics.com for more info

Where is the Knock Sensor 1 located

Solution:
1. If you have to pay for a solution here on fixya, why not take it to a mechanic.
2. For the price of a live chat here on fixya for a one time solution you can purchase a complete repair manual and solve the problem yourself. Daah???? No more $20.00 piece mill each time you have a problem with your car.

I hope this eye opener will be a help to others.

I really don't expect to see this one in a post.
