Question about Kenmore 54501 Dehumidifier
It will continue to run the fan all the time but does not get any moisture from the air
The compressor sounds like is not coming on check the refrigerant or check the power to the compressor it could be something as small as a humidistat which will not tell it that we still have humidity like a thermostat

Tips for a great answer:
Hello friend, I appreciate your post!
From my understanding your Frigidaire dehumidifier is shutting off and on without removing any moisture from the air. I would recommend trying a different outlet within your basement and adjusting the setting to see if that would help. Additionally, try to turn the unit on continuous drain to see if it pulls any moisture out of the air. If your appliance continues to shut on and off I would reach out to the manufacturer to see if they could assist with any additional resolution. Hope this information proves helpful. -Matt
