Here is a tip that I wrote about what I found out about the fabric softener notdispensing into the washer...

I was getting frustrated when I could easily take out the pieces, but couldn't put them back. The actual slide out holder comes right out with a little bit of manouvering and then you can put the pieces back and wash and rinse any build up in the containers. Yay !!

1 load worth at a time. The dispenser should add water to the same area you ad your detergent to. Just fill it as you normally would. 1/2 to 1 cap full then your fabric softner and bleach in the other dispensers (if your machine has them)

Pour really, really hot water into it and that should disperse the fabric softerner...then run the washer with NO clothes in it...good luck

You must take out the compartment and empty it out before adding any bleach the next time, there is a type of button way in the back that you press down on pull out the entire door and empty the water for the next washing. You must press down very hard the entire door does come out check out your book for instructions it is way in the back on the left hand side. This happens to mine once in a while not all the time.

Check to make sure the litle cups are set in place correctly and also make sure they are not blocked with hard fabric softner. A quick test: pour water directly into the fabric sofnter cup and fill it up,IF it siphons out, you will need a new inlet valve for that unit. The inlet valve has soliniods on it for the bleach & fabric softner.

is the machine got good water pressure cus somtimes little water gets in the fabric soften tay and it dosent flush all the softner out. hope this helps.

Same deal - I have to soak up all the residual water in the softener dispenser between washes. (The detergent and bleach compartments are fine).

fabric softener goes into the dispenser. it may be a full blown solenoid valve -or- a flapper type of solenoid valve. operation of the solenoid operates a flapper to let the softener out. go to an appliance repair site to find the solenoid - appliance parts dot com or repair clinic dot com.

It obviously is backed up or splashed in from the wash. And if it is just water why worry about it.
