Question about Xerox Phaser 6100/BD Laser Printer
Opened up to clean out toner spills. When closed again "Install yellow toner" alternating with "Install cyan toner" messages displayed.
It is not according to your printer or your head of cartige is not clean or damage. try replace new one

Either the toner cartridges, the fuser, or the photodeveloper cartridge are defective, or toner has accumulated in front of the printhead or on the printhead lens.
Replace the color toner cartridge causing the
line. If you still have the problem, replace the fuser and the photodeveloper cartridge. Clean any spilled toner you see in the printer housing near the printhead using a soft, clean
lint-free cloth. Clean the printhead lens.
Clean the printhead lens when you see print quality problems :
1 Turn the printer off.
2 Pull the front door release latch forward and gently lower the front door.
3 Remove all of the toner cartridges one at a time.
4 Open the top door.
5 Remove the photodeveloper cartridge.
6 Pull on the tabs to lift the lens cover.
7 Gently wipe the printhead lens in one direction using a clean, dry lint-free cloth.
8 Push the lens cover down.
9 Align the photodeveloper cartridge with its opening. Gently lower it into place.
10 Push the latches away from each other to lock the photodeveloper cartridge into place.
11 Close the top door.
12 Install all of the toner cartridges.
13 Close the front door.
14 Turn the printer on.

The life of the waste toner container unit is approximately 1,250 pages
for full color 5% image printing or 5,000 images for black printing. When
the life span of the waste toner container has expired, Replace/Install
Waste Toner Tank appears on the display of the control panel,
indicating the waste toner container needs to be replaced. Otherwise
your printer stops printing.
To replace the waste toner container:
1 Turn the machine off, then wait a few minutes for the machine to
2 Open the front cover.
3 Pull the waste toner container out of the machine using its handle.
4 Remove the container's cap from the container as shown below,
and use it to close the waste toner container opening.
5 Take a new waste toner container out of its package.
Make sure that you lay the waste toner container on a flat
surface so that the toner does not spill.
Do not tilt or turn the tank over.
6 Insert the new container into position and then push it to make sure
that it is firmly seated in place.
7 Close the front cover firmly.
8 Turn the machine on.
