SOURCE: lost instuctions to program Model N1560 Noma outdoor timer

Use the top button to adjust the current time & then push the bottom button once to save. Next is the time you want the lights to turn on & push bottom button once to save. The last setting is the time you want the lights to turn off. Don't forget to use the . (period) indicator for the pm setting. (I had the same problem and had to search the net to find someone else who had posted the instructions.)

SOURCE: I lost instructions on setting the timer.

I Googled in Diehl digital timer and located a website that had the exact timer I have. Included in the list of information was a manual with instructions on setting the timer. I downloaded the instructions and set the timer. Exactly what I needed.

Everything but the display picture is listed below.

301-0005 DIGITAL TIME SWITCH

Combined Daily / Weekly Electronic Timer.

Operating instructions. Please read before use.

Features:

• Up to 12 on off switches a day / 84 on off switches a week.

• Option to program individual days or 8 different weekday groups.

• Minimum switching period one minute.

• Summer time / Winter timer changeover.

• Easy to read LCD display.

• Random automatic On / Off security feature.

• Manual override button.

• Battery back up: Alkaline battery 1.5v "AA" size.

Setting the time.

1. Press and hold the CLOCK key. With this key held pressed, the DAY key can be used to select the correct day, the Hours key to select the correct hour and MIN. key to select the correct minutes. When the MIN. key is released the time will be set with the seconds starting from 0. Either holding down or repeatedly pressing the appropriate button can advance the days, hours and minutes. Please take note of AM or PM being indicated in the LCD display and adjust as required.

Programming of switching times.

Your Auto Time switch has the capacity for 12 on/off switches. By using the blocks of days available you can save program capacity.

The blocks of days are:

Mon, Tues, Wed, Thurs, Fri, Sat, Sun

Individual days of the week

Mon, Tues, Wed, Thurs, Fri, Sat, Sun

Mon, Wed, Fri

Tues, Thurs, Sat

Mon, Tues, Wed

Thurs, Fri, Sat

2. For each On time and each Off time the Day, HOURS and MIN. must be set.

3. Pres the PROG key once to set the first on time-you will see "ON" and the number "1" appear on the left of the LCD display. This indicates that you can now enter the first On time. Press the DAY button to choose the required day or block of days, and then set the hour and minutes using the HOURS and MIN buttons.

4. When you have completed setting the required On time press the PROG. Button to validate the entry and move onto the first off time-you will see "Off' and the number "1" appear on the left of the LCD display. This indicates that you can

now enter the first off time by using the Day, HOURS AND MIN. buttons as above. Pres the PROG. Button to validate this entry.

5. Repeat for the remaining 11 on/off settings as required.

6. When you have set the required On Off settings, press the CLOCK button to return the display to the clock. The timer will now be ready to operate.

NB. You can check the settings you have programmed by pressing the PROG. Button repeatedly-each setting will appear on the screen.

Manual Override Switch.

You can choose permanent ON, Permanent OFF and Auto mode by switching the Manual Switch. The program settings will only work in Auto mode.

Random automatic On / Off security feature.

With this option selected the timer will switch On and Off in a random pattern based on the set program with a time variation of 2-32 minutes added to the set switch times. For example, if timer should be On 5:30 to11:15,the program adds between 2-32 minutes to 5:30. Likewise it adds between 2-32 minutes to 11:15. this is ideal for use with a light, switching it On and Off automatically when you are out to make your home look occupied but still not exactly the same time every day.

Switchover summertime / wintertime / summertime, time zone change.

To change from winter time to summer time press the HOURS and MIN. buttons simultaneously. The clock will be set forward one hour and "S" will appear on the display. Repeat the same procedure in order to return to winter time.

NB. If you purchase this unit during the summer, when setting the clock set the time for one hour less than the correct time and then when the unit is in the auto mode press the HOURS and MIN. keys simultaneously. The unit will then adjust to the correct "summer" time and the "S" will appear on the LCD.

Reset Button.
To reset the unit, both the time and programmed On / Off settings, press the Reset button.

Installing the battery can't get the door opened to insert battery

Drawer pulls straight out. Use small screwdriver or metal nail file.
Copy following link for illustration and CR2 battery, and ez-to-follow programming, and wiring options.
http://waterheatertimer.org/images/ST01C-program.html#battery

Remember the drawer is also 'plugged' into the timer, so do not bend small metal prongs on drawer.

This timer comes with 1 year limited warranty against defects in workmanship.
The battery operates timer functions, so once battery is installed, the timer can be programmed before timer is installed in wall.
Be sure to reset timer before programming to eliminate stray code on the memory chip.
Once timer is programmed, the programs remain inside memory chip forever, even with power loss and no battery, until timer is reset of re-programmed.
Reset this timer: Hold down on-off button and momentarily push round reset button with paper clip. Keep holding down on-off until display changes, then release on-off button and begin setting current time and programs.

WOODS 59018 TIMER WIREING CORRECT INSTALLED WITH POWER OFF NETURAL GROUND UP TO CODE LOAD /LINE PROPER.NEW OUT OF BOX WON'T RESET. STEP 1 LAMPS LOAD SIDE GOOD. RETIRED CONSTRUCTION ELECTRICIAN

I don't have answer for defective timer. Buy another timer if everything below checks out:
59018 7-day timer has limited 1 year warranty, and appears to be made by Tork
Timer is for 120Volt single-pole only.
Rated for 1000 watt tungsten, 8A ballast, 1/4 HP
Push reset button with toothpick > not necessary to press-and-hold other button to accomplish reset.
After reset, 12:00 am Monday should display.
Programs are deleted. Reprogram timer.

To check, change and delete specific programming, press PROG key until selected program displays, and then set new programming >>> or press-and-hold MODE button and press PROG button again to delete selected program.

Timer has non-replaceable 30-day carryover battery and does not lose programming after power outage, and will retain programs until battery is depleted.

Review wiring:
Hot to timer black.
Neutral to timer white.
Load to timer red.
Ground to timer green.

Lights will blink if timer red and timer white are connected to load together.
Timer will not function if timer black and red wires are reversed. Display will not show.

I can not get my raindrip R673CT to program in the days I want it to go off. Lost my instructions. It puts in what days it wants and won't let me change them. Even removed the battery and let it sit...

Call raindrip 888-825-4716

I can post manual R673CT timer.
http://waterheatertimer.org/pdf/Raindrip-R673CT.pdf
Manual does not have troubleshoot steps
Try 2 new AAA batteries, and clean battery terminals.
The fact that you get display suggests that batteries are not the problem.

Manual says timer will no longer turn on with low battery, so timer is reset by removing battery.
Generally it is bad news when basic timer will not function after reset.

Sunset sunrise doesn't seem to work anymore

Timer is not identified.
If digital timer does not function as before, try resetting timer and then re-program.
If timer has battery, then change battery and reset timer.
If reset does not restore functionality, then timer has gone bad. Most in-wall timers have 1 year limited warranty.

Below are common 7-day timers, but there are many different brands:

You posted under Woods 7-day timer: except Woods timer does not astronomic dawn dusk function. Woods 7-day is same as Tork 7-day and GE 7-day, and they do not have astronomic function.
http://waterheatertimer.org/pdf/Woods-59018-59028.pdf
http://waterheatertimer.org/Woods-timers-and-manuals.html#59028
Reset button is small round button.
Push in reset with toothpick or paper clip.
Then reprogram timer.

If you have Intermatic ST01C or EJ500 battery operated timer: Replace battery, then to reset timer: push-and-hold ON_OFF button, and then push reset button. Keep holding on-off button until display changes. Release on-off button and display will flash 12:00. Then reprogram timer.
http://waterheatertimer.org/Intermatic-timers-and-manuals.html

If you have Utilitec astronomic timer, then press reset button and reprogram:

Re Intermatic ST01C White Self Adjusting Wall Switch Timer Pgm indicates "SNST". I can't change it?

Last ditch troubleshoot for ST01C is to change CR2 battery and then reset timer.
Battery is inside compartment located below programming buttons.
How to reset: Hold down on-off button. Push reset momentarily. Keep holding down on-off until display shows INIT. Release on-off button and 12:00 is flashing. Reprogram timer.
If functionality is not restored, then timer is bad.
ST01C has 1 year limited warranty.
Heavier duty Ei600 is same timer, but has 5-year limited warranty.

Unit might be bad.
EJ500 has 1 year limited warranty.
Try resetting timer: hold down on-off button and push-and-release reset button.
Keep holding on-off button until display screen changes.
This action will reset timer, and if 12:00 is flashing then timer will probably accept programming.
Reprogram timer.

The timer flashes, "no-op". Refuses to turn

no-op means 'no operation.

The manual says last resort to revive non-working timer is RESET timer.
This action will delete current day setting and all programming

Hold down ON/OFF and use paper clip to push in reset button for 2 seconds.
Release reset button but keep holding ON/OFF button down until INIT flashes on screen
Then release ON/OFF button and 12:00 should display.

At this point, timer can be re-programmed.
Simple step by step shows on following link:
http://waterheatertimer.org/ST01C-program.html

If timer will not accept programs, or operate after RESET, then timer has gone bad.
ST01C comes with 1 year limited warranty.
Most in-wall timers have same limited warranty.

Replacing timer:
-Advantage of ST01C is timer does not need Neutral wire to operate, and wiring can be simple.
-If you are using ST01C for 3-way switching, then easiest thing is to replace with same timer.
-If you are using timer as astronomic dawn-dusk, then replacements include EJ500, Utilitec 0192773, Aube T1034, T1070, T1072, T1073.
-If you are using timer for 7-day operations then there are numerous options:

Tried to reset the intermatic timer. But, the timer won't turn off

You posted under self-adjusting Intermatic, which I assume is ST01C
Add a comment if you have different timer.

I had the same problem resetting my ST01C because I was pushing reset button without holding down ON-OFF button.
But my timer is fairly new and hasn't malfunctioned.
A lot of folks write-in about ST01C that just doesn't work any more.

To reset timer: hold down ON-OFF button, and then use paper clip and push reset for full three seconds.
Release reset but keep holding ON-OFF.
Keep holding ON-OFF button until INIT shows on screen.
Release ON-OFF and wait for timer display to show.

If timer display doesn't restore, then change battery with new CR2.
People write in after changing battery and report timer never came back to life.
So these timers are hard to figure. ST01C has 1 year limited warranty.

To re-program timer for specific hours instead of dawn-dusk, there are clear steps on link below

I need to know how to reset the timer. Right now it says DUSK, what does that mean?

You posted under ST01C Intermatic timer.
DUSK is the dusk-to-dawn option available with astronomic timers like the ST01C.

If the ST01C is not your timer, add a comment with your timer brand.
I have tested the ST01C and many other timers.

To diagnose the timer, press manual override (on-off button) to see if timer operates Load.
The ST01C will not operate the Load if battery is bad, or if timer has gone bad.

Replace CR2 battery, and then re-program current time and day.
Current day settings are lost when battery goes bad, but the on-off programming remains indefinitely inside timer memory until the reset button is pushed.
To clear timer memory, hold down on-off button and push tiny round reset button for several seconds.

The following link shows the manual and EZ steps to reset timer:
http://waterheatertimer.org/ST01C-program.html
The link also shows other timers in case you have a different brand.
