I am having trouble getting power from transformer to track without the wires getting hot. Engine does not have enough power to go around the track. Track is new

There's a short circuit at a switch or crossover. Did you put insulators on the track connectors to eliminate this condition? If the wires don't get hot without the engine on the tracks then look into a bad motor in the engine.

Can two tracks be powered with the Lionel Trainmaster R 100 Watt transformer?

Track 1 as you have it connected is terminals B-F. The second track would be terminals B-C. Connect post B to the outer rails Terminal 1 ? on your lockon. THis will give you 6-16 volts at the track.

How do I wire a bascule bridge # 313

Just got my bascule bridge working.
1) cener rail should be ground (U terminal on my "V" transformer) and insulated from rest of tracks.
2) Power should rails should not be insulated from the rest of the tracks.
3) on my bridge there are 5 terminals (1 farthest from the track, 5 closest to the track.
4)Power to terminal 1 (on my "V" transformer that is from A terminal)
5)Terminal 2 and three are the two ends of a "Push Button Normally Off" switch (this switch send power across the motor and to ground at terminal 3.
6)Terminal 3 has two connections. The aforementioned switch and a ground connection at the transformer ( terminal "U" on my V type transformer.
7)Terminal 4 is a ground connection from the transformer ( "U" on my "V" transformer).
8)Terminal 5 runs a jumper wire to the center Rail on the clip connection at the free end of the bridge.

Good Luck

I have a Lionel ZW transformer older version 1955-1956, And lately my train loses power at one area of the track and then regains power again. This happens on both the outside and inside tracks.

This does not appear to be a problem with the ZW. The XFMR does not know anything about train location on the track. It appears to be a track connection problem on the center or outside tracks or both. One way to identify a bad connection is to take a parallel wire from the common and hot terminal of the ZW and connect directly to the area of track where the train stops and slows down. If this cures the problem then I recommend checking the tightness of the three track connections. For both FasTrack and Tubular, crimp slightly the pin receiving holes in the end of the track.

Note: For both tubular and Fasrtrack it is recommended that common track power for any one section be input to the track at more than one point. In this way one bad outter or center conductor won't cause the train to slow up or stop.

If FasTrack, you can solder directly to the tabs on the track underside for a permanent connection.

My new lionel train slows down on far side of the track

There is bad contact in the track connections. You can sand the track connection sites. Another method is to run another power wire to the other end of the track where the train slows down. Even better is 3 or 4 evenly spaced power wires from the transformer to the track.

Instructions for the New bright 384 holiday express

Not sure what instructions you need, but the setup is very simple.
1. Put your track together
2. Attach the track power connector by slipping it under the track and pushing, then lift up the other side. This will make the two metal contacts connect to the track.
3. Plug the connector from the power pack into the track module (It should only go one way)
4. Plug the control box (looks like a telephone cord) into the track module, Will only go one way
5. Place the locomotive on the track.
6. Place the Treetop Tender on the track (you need both to make it run)
7. Connect the large connector from the treetop tender to the loco
8. Turn on the command module and press forward ...

You should now be running in circles ...

Hope this helps...

I have power to the track and the controller, but not the train.

I assume you have the Treetop Tender car on the track? The treetop tender is car that makes the electrical connection between the track and the train.

1. Use a volt meter across the track. You should have about 10.5VDC on the track (anywhere on the track)
2. Even without the Loco on the track, the Treetop Tender should light up if you have power to the track. If you have power and the tender does not light. Check the brushes located between the wheels on the tender. These are the motor brushes that pick up the current from the track for the train set. Make sure they are contacting the track.
3. Add the loco to the track and plug in the large black plug from the tender to the loco. Turn on the power and press forward. The train should start rolling.

Try all the functions, bells, ho ho ho, all aboard etc ..

Add one car at a time and make sure that each one lights up before moving on to the next.

We have just installed a Hampton Bay Flexible Track Light. For some reason we are not getting power to the track. I have used a voltage tester and it indicates that there is power to the power connector,...

Hello. If, by chance, the switch you are using to control this track light is a dimmer switch you will have to replace it with a common switch. Dimmer switches are not compatible with these flex track lights as they use a transformer to drop the voltage. If that is not the case, disconnect your connections and check at that point to be sure that you have 110 volts of power. A light socket on a pigtail that you can temporarily connect to the black and the white wires is an easy way to check. If you do have power at the ceiling box I would once again hook up the wires. Black to black and white to white. IF after all that it still doesn't work as your transformer is probably faulty. Just exchange it for a brand new one and give it another try. Good luck with it. Connecting an M Audio Fast Track USB to a Behringer XENYX 1002

I suppose that you connect the behringer mixer master out (just one of the two channels in case of two) to the guitar input of the Fast Track. Have you tried to hear your mic from the phones output at the front panel of the Fast Track? Try changing the guitar gain and the output level at the top of the Fast track.

I'm waiting for your results or clarification, please post.

Thanks and regards
