Does a technics stereo amp su-g90 have a stereo to play music

This device does not have an internal tuner. It is simply an amplifier. The buttons on the front labeled TUNER - TAPE - PHONO - DAT/VCR 1 - VCR 2/TV are selector buttons for additional components that hook up to the respective connectors at the rear of the unit. If you want to play a radio with this device, you must buy a tuner and attach it to the tuner inputs in the rear of the unit.

Turntable with built-in preamp won't play on phono channel on technics sadx950, but fine on CD channel. Is phono channel dead?

A turntable with a built-in preamp should not be connected to the phono input, because the preamp of the receiver or ampifier will be overdriven. The task of a preamp is to amplify the very low level of magnetic cartriges to the high level needed to work a line input and does some equalizing work to the signal. You can check if your turntable has a switch to disable the built in preamp (mostly they are low-end quality), otherwise connect the turntable to a high level input like "Tape", "AUX", "TUNER", "MONITOR", or "CD".

MODEL SU-V97KM CAN I USE PHONO OR TAPE 2 SOURCE FOR A DVD OR TV

No and yes.
The phone entry, only needs a very low voltage, but you should be able to use the tape 2 entry for a DVD player or to amplify the sound of the TV. It can't be used to send sound to a device. For that you should use the Tape out or the output from the preamp. The sound should be heard in your speakers.
The voltages coming from the DVD player and the TV, could be a bit high, so if you get some distortion from oversteering the input, you should use a few resistors, but that will be to technical here.

How do I connect my CD Player, Tape Deck and Tuner to the SU 300 Technics Amplifier

hi,
For connecting these to your amplifier you need 4 Stereo RCA Cable.
1.Connection for cd:
Take one of the RCA cable connect the one end (red/white) jack to the line out of your cd and connect the other end (red/white) to the CD input of Your amplifier.
2. Connecting the tunner:
Take one of the RCA cable and connect the one end (red/white) jack to the line output of you Tuner and connect the other end (red/white) to the TUNER input of your amplifier.
3. Connectiong the tape deck:
Now you have two RCA cable. Take one of the RCA cable and connect the one end (red/white) jacks to the PLAY out of the Tape deck and connect the other end (red/white) to the TAPE 1 play input of your amplifier.
Now connect the last RCA cable. Connect the one end (red/white) jack to the record input of the TAPE deck And connect the other end (red/white) to the TAPE 1 Record input of your amplifier.(this connection will help you to record to tape from cd or tuner. if you are not interested in recording then you can avoid this connection.)

Now you can select these three items from the frond plannel control switch of the amplifier.
ok

Hello i need help please..... I have a Technics SU-Z550 and SH-8055 Graphic Equalizer My amp has lost power... lots.! its working one channel louder than the other but the one which is louder still has...

If the same channel is dead on the EQ as is dead on the amp there may be a correlation.

Let's break this into its two parts.

1) SU-Z550: You don't say WHAT source(s) you tried to use on the CD/AUX, TUner and PHONO inputs. The external device itself could be the source of the low volume. Try swapping the Left and Right cables to see if it follows the source channel or stays with the amplifier channel.

Check the controls on the amp to make sure you understand each one's effect on the sound.

"PHONO" is literal and exclusively FOR A TURNTABLE - NOTHING ELSE - EVER.

2) SH-8055: Equalizers don't 'boost' sound, they modify its levels at various frequencies. To do that they should be connected into a Tape loop on your amp. OUTs go to IN's. Then you select the Tape Loop on the amp and that inserts the EQ into the signal path of whatever source you're listening to. It's actions are BEFORE any other amplifier controls such as volume, tone and balance. The EQ itself also has a Tape Loop to replace the one it occupies. Make sure it is not enabled unless you have a Tape Deck on it to use. Choose "SOURCE". The blue LED display is to show you frequencies are present in the program material.

Set all of its lighted band controls at midpoint prior to declaring it defective. EQ is like any spice - a little is good, a lot ruins the recipe.

I just bought the t.55 usb turn table and am having trouble playing it. Do you need an amp?

hi,
yes you need an amplifier with or without phono input.
your turntable has three types of output
1.phono output (can connect to the phono input of an amplifier which has a phono input)
2. line level output [can connect to ( aux,cd,tape, tunner what u prefer) an amplifier which has these inputs]
there is a selection switch for phono or line level output on the back side
3. and usb( to computer)

SUV500 2-Channel Amplifier: Hi! can I connect another technics cd-player,sl...

yes you can connect another cd player to the DAT input of your amp.
input connections like DAT, TUNER, CD, AUX etc (except phono) is just to differentiate between what sources are connected, the amp cannot tell what source is connected and will output the sound no problem.

as for the remote operation, if the 2 technics cd players are switched on at the same time they're going to do what you command from the remote together but you'll obviously be listening to 1 at a time.

How can I connect my CD-RW880 recorder to the

Make sure the phonograph is connected to the Phono Connectors. Hook up your CD recorder to the tape. The play connectors on the CD recorders can connect to the tape play connectors on your stereo. The record connectors on your CD recorder connect to the record outputs on the tape connectors on your stereo. You can also connect you CD recorder to the VCR connectors if you are using an audio tape as your source. All of the outputs and inputs are the same level except the phono.

Connection of Amp to Equaliser

Thanks guys, but i solved my problem, i experimented and decided that i would run my DVD player (Aux Out) as a CD player through the Equaliser in [Rec] and from equaliser out [Play] i went into Tape Play on Amp, then i connected my Turntable CD Radio System to the Tape 1 Rec on Equaliser and then from Tape 1 Play on Equaliser went into the Tape 2 on AMP then i could use Aux in on Amp to connect my Laptop via my laptops headphone socket my laptop has an equaliser so i didn't need to connect to pioneer EQ, i also connected a small 5.1 to the DVD's 5.1 and connected 4 *45w Speakers to the AMP. and i can say it was FANTASTIC i couldn't get to 5 on my volume it was un @$#%believable.
