Washer fills with water then stops

I just moved to a new house and hooked up my washing machine and it won't work. It has power, water supply is on. When I press start, it fills with water, but then it doesn't start the wash cycle. I've tried every option (normal, rinse/spin, heavy, etc.).

The washer is balanced and level, and there's nothing in the bottom of the washer. Any other ideas?

Http://www.pcappliancerepair.com/model-display.php Check the switch #17 and the hose from it to the tub/pump. I did not see an out of balance switch, but try to get the manual to check for one. It may have been tripped when your machine was moved. I would think re-setting it would be easy.

That's the fill switch, it's usually round, up where the other controls are. It may be directly connected to the knob for load size, but on a front loader, there may be no such knob. It will have a small hose going from it to the pump/tub area. Make sure the hose is clear, just blow thru it. If you put a short piece of hose on the switch, you should be able to activate it by blowing hard into it.

Hot/cold cycle stops before filling up

Your washer has a set amount of time to fill. If the flow is low and the time runs out, then all you will get is the amount of water that was able to fill. Check your lines to be sure that they all fully opened.

Won't stop filling up. Water continues to flow without stopping for cycles

Hello,

Their are 2 possibilites causing it to overflow

1) the water inlet valve that the hoses from the house plumbing attach to is sticking open, when it sticks it will stick open regardless if thier is power to the machine or not,so to determine if that is the problem, start the washer and quickly unplug it,if the water continues to fill, that valve is sticking

2) the water level switch is defective,do the same as far as starting it,if the fill stops when power disconected it's the water level switch that is in need of replacement

Good luck, i hope this helps.

For Eurotech EWC177W fornt load washer, the machine stopped working in the middle of a cycle and now the start light does not illuminate. I have determined it's not the outlet power. Does thsi washer...

Hi

If the cycle won't complete then either it's a problem with the timer or a cold-water supply problem:-

If your washing machine fills with water and begins agitating, but the timer never advances--or if the washer is in a spin cycle and the timer won't advance. Then you need to replace the timer.

It may be a cold-water supply problem, if the washing machine fills with water, agitates, drains, and spins, but then doesn't fill with rinse water.

F & P GW712 - bowl spins, but won't fill.

Read your user manual - but I would suggest that you may not have setup the balance properly. Check the level of the machine and adjust to be as square as possible by adjusting the feet at the bottom. If the water isnt coming in on both hot and cold sounds like a common problem - perhaps the water level sensor is playing up or something else has been knocked during transportation of the machine when you moved house. Check your user manual for troubleshooting. Sounds dumb, but check that 'delay start' isnt selected also. check both hoses filters are not blocked.

this sounds like cold water supply not getting to the machine, test the supply from the house is working, is the machine buzzing slightly when it should be filling, if so the fault is the house supply to the washer, if the supply to the washer is fine, check the cold water solenoid for open circuit, thats about all it could be, if it worked fine before, if i have helped rate me please
