Question about Garmin zumo 550 GPS Receiver
Garmin 550 Motorcycle Mount. Not getting power.
Are you firing up the Zumo before you start the bike? I did this and it appeared to continue on battery power when the bike was started - hence, put it in the cradle and it should start up on bike power.
Alternatively, it could be the cradle - I'm on my third in less than a year!

Quite possibly the pins that provides power to your Zumo through the mount have corroded after getting wet when the Zumo has been removed. Two ways to prevent this in future, remove the power supply to the mount by unplugging the lead either at the mount or at the battery (or put a switch in) or/and use a product to repel water from the pins on the mount. I remove the mount completely from the bike when not in use which has solved the verdigris problems I was getting.

If you're sure the power cord is getting power, then the mount has likely failed. Mine has failed 3 times. Replacing the mount will fix the problem as it did on mine. If the unit is less than 1 year from purchase, Garmin will warranty replace it for free. If not, it'll cost you about $85 plus shipping to put a new one on.
