Cc stands for cubic centermeters..It is a measurement of the chamber that the piston resides in when totally expacted

I tookthe chain cover off of my homelite ut10560 and a small pin fell out of it. Now i dont know where it goes. any help?? thanks!!!

The chain bar usually sits on a pin to position it in place on a chainsaw. Is yours there? If it is and the bar appears to be installed correctly, does the chain saw work as normal?

I fill the tank with petrol , not 2strike. i think i destroyed the piston. i want parts (pm 484 model)

cost you more to buy the parts than to get a new saw.and thats not even considering the labor which will be twice the parts cost. wrist pin ,connecting rod, rings ,piston
a lot of work with no guarantte that it will run or for how long it will keep running.
I just bought a new 2013 saw for $20.00 more that they wanted for a new carb for my old saw and went from a old worn 14 in
bar and dull , worn out & streched out chain to a brand new never used bar & chain which goes for38.95 at rome depot
so, if i take the price of a new bar & chain off the price of the saw,I got the new power head for only $40.00
I know, thats weird thinking----but not that far out there .

The only reason you should consider fixing your old saw is if its a like 100 cc or something that cost $995.00 only then would it be worth thinking about.

I have an old homelite super xl saw and what i need to know is the high and low adjustments as well as spark plug gap

For the high and low speed jets turn all the way in and turn counter clockwise 1 1/4 turns to start with and continue a bit more until the saw runs a max speed(go by ear) and idling speed(idle down enough so chain does not spin while finger off triger). For the spark plug gap, go about 20 thousands of an inch. I hope this helps you out.

I have a Homelite UT 10520. It is a refurbished chainsaw. It has ru about 30min. It is running hot. My mixtture is 50:1 and my gas is 90 oct. I think it is running lean. It will not get to the max...

lI thinkthe oil to gas is too rich with Gasoline. My book says 40 to 1. Not enough oil will cause it to run hot and burn or stick. Also some of the later models take the synthetic oil andif you use the outboard or other oil it will run hot and ruin the saw.

XL UT # 10655A Serial # HL1490086 XL 2 Serial # 40152376 Recently bought these 2 saws and have gotten 3 answers for the gas/oil mix. Can you tell me what is the right mix??

Run what ever fuel/oil mix you are comfortable with. A run lean condition is most often caused by an undetected air leak leaning out the mixture to failure. A couple of ounces of 2-cycle oil will not prevent its occurrence. If an owners manual (OM - I tried) is ever located it likely says 32:1. Most modern saws recommend 50:1:

Oil Mix Ratio:

In the early to mid 90s Dolmar, Echo, efco, Homelite, Husqvarna, Jonsered, Makita, Oleo-Mac, Red Max, Ryobi, Shindaiwa, Solo, Spear

Decompression valve for Homeliye XL-700 chain saw.

With the age of the chainsaw and the scarity of available parts, it would be major undertaking to even attempt to install a decomp valve into this chainsaw and the result could end up ruining the saw for good.

If I might make a suggestion that you either sell this, as there are many collectors of classic chainsaws such as the XL-700 and you might do better with a newer saw that is easier to start and use.

Either that, or just accept that starting these older saws are more difficult.

As to the C.U. rating for this saw, it is a 4.7 Cu. Inch displacement.

Here's an online manual wih a parts breakdown and exploded line drawings for the XL-700, in case you want to tinker with the saw.
