Won't start first start of winter, won't start. Sounds like no gas getting to it, new sparkplug installed.

Doesn't start. get gas and fire.

Very little info to go on here. Remove the sparkplug and dump some gas down the plug hole. Re-install the sparkplug and crank her over. If it tries to start, then your problem is fuel. If it doesn't then it's electrical/mechanical.

Car cranks but won't Start

It sounds like your alternator mat have gotten wet. there is usually some sort of cover under the alt. I would get that and the battery tested. They can be tested while still on the car. If it won`t start you would have to get them pulled and checked. Usually free of charge.

I don't think my tiller is getting any juice to the sparkplug. I changed the sparkplug and air filter, checked the oil and gas, but it still won't start.

disconnect the kill wire on the motor and then see if you get spark. If so its your switch, if not it either points or electronic coil or regular coil or condenser problem did you gap the pints correctly and was there a problem b4 you changed the points.

New gas and oil, filter cleaned, spark from sparkplug strong, but mower won't start.

Try jump starting it, with a trickle charger. Once you have to do this though, changes are that you'll have to keep doing this. You'll have to replace the battery. In the future, in cold weather areas of the country, batteries should be removed from the tractor and brought inside. In other areas, starting the tractor periodically during the winter will help keep the battery charged.

I have a problem with my electric generator (don't start ) i allready replaced the sparkplug and new gas and still doesn't start (chicago electric 5500 watts)

did you blow out old gas from gas line going to carb? if this generator set up over the winter with no use, it probably has water condensation in the gas tank which has gotten into the gas line and carb. If you didnt do it already, blow undo the gas line off the tank and use compressed air (or by mouth) to blow out all the fule out of the line and carb. If you did not drain the old gas out before adding new gas, there still may be water in the tank and line. Try this and see if it fixes it. Give it time for the new gas to get through the line to the carb. To avoid this, keep the fuel tank full especially over the winter and you will not get any water condensation.

90 toyota pickup won' start -- battery good and ignition good but not firing .

How about gas, are you sure gas pump is working? Can you see if it gets gas to sparkplugs? Are they wet or smelling gas?

Cultvator is not starting as we pull start

I take it this is the first cranking this season. The most probable cause is stale fuel. Never ever store fuel in a small engine over the winter. Now, the bad fuel has most probably fouled the sparkplug, so you need both fresh fuel AND a NEW sparkplug.

Your carb is going to be gummed up, but if you'll get the high priced fuel with the "cleaners" (like Chevron with Techron) it may save you the trouble of disassembling the carb.
