There should be a battery on the motherboard of the notebook itself, but you'll have to take the unit apart to access it. Usually, it is underneath the unit, so you would have to remove all the screws to take the notebook apart at the seams. If you aren't sure of yourself, I would advise taking the notebook to a qualified repair store to have them reset the CMOS.
If you do decide to attempt this, proceed with caution, make sure you don't force anything to remove it, and also if you must disconnect any wires, make a note of where they reconnect.

Try removing internal battery this is ussually a small battery on the motherboard which keeps in its memory date and time ,hard drive details ,passwords etc.
Some batteries are easily removeable some have to be desoldered so it losses whats in its memory. The laptop is then switched on to see if the password is gone.. Then battery put back. Some laptops have to be taken to manufacturer to take password off..Good luck

Resetting the bios password for Toshiba Laptop

It working with the Satellite A135

Power unit off. Disconnect AC power. Remove battery. Remove the memory cover screw, memory cover and the memory modules. Peel back the black lebel back from memory module 1, I soldered PAD500 solder pads (to short circuit them), install one memory memory in slot 2 and turned notebook on, it erase the password and boot without asking for one. Then power off desolder PAD500, replace mylar. Replace memory modules. Replace battery. Power up unit, replace memory cover and screw. Whalá!! the password gone, and you can enter to bios setup to set a new password if you want.

How do i perfor a system reset on a toshiba

hi, try this....

the back part of your laptop where your memory card goes to and then remove the memory card look for the word jopen1. you will see a metal letter U and letter T. Use a metal paper clip on the metal letter U and then put the other end of metal paper clip on any metal part of the main board for a few seconds. And then after that put everything back together and see if it works. From there you will be asked for a new password (any password that you would like to use), save and then restart.

note: there's a plastic piece on the metal letters U and T. don't pull it all the way off from it. Hope this will help.

Format the disk to be BOOTABLE using Windows and then with a hex editor, change the first five bytes of the second sector to 4B 45 59 00 00.
Then put the floppy into your machine and boot it up, you’ll be asked for a password, just press Enter. Then when you’re asked to set the password, type Y then Enter, this will get you into the bios configuration where you can then type in a new password.
