Question about Logitech LX5 Cordless Optical Mouse

LX5 Cordless Optical Mouse - Rotation Function not working

Prior to installing the software for the LX5 Cordless Optical Mouse and the associated peripherals (ie: Logitech Media & S 510 Keyboard) rotation by depressing the wheel was functional. After installation this function is not available particularly when playing or map editing with PC Game - Stronghold 2.

Any help/assistance would be greatly appreciated.

    Thanks Enuro,

Those are areas that I normally visit if I am to reconfigure the settings. In this case I have done this prior to posting my dilemma here. Even with the latest Logitech updates there is no provision to accommodate the settings for Rotational functionality.

So in this case I have opted to uninstall the software driver for the LX5 Cordless Optical Mouse and allow for the "plug and play" system already assigned within my Laptop to operate the Rotational Functionality. This works perfectly and in fact is way better then the software driver for this Mouse. In effect the "plug and play" has all the advantages of the software driver.

I re-installed the driver software for Logitech MediaLife and S 510 Keyboard and this works a treat with no effect on the Optical Mouse functionality.

Did you try checking the mouse settings via the control panel.

You should have some new software. In the logitech manager you will find a place to edit the mouse buttons.

My Logitech LX5 wireless optical mouse has never worked properly

hi im josh in cebu phils.may i help you? Friend try my gathered solutions. This problem has a simple solution—replace your batteries! Low batteries in a wireless device will cause all sorts of problems. In a mouse, this typically means that the cursor slows down, jerks around, or seems to hit an invisible wall. Fresh batteries should fix things right up.
If new batteries don't fix the problem, you have some sort of wireless interference. Try moving the wireless receiver to a new position—preferably away from other wireless devices (wireless network adapters/base stations, cordless phones, baby monitors, and the like). If interference continues, see if you can change transmitting/receiving channels on one of the devices, or consider turning off the interfering device while you're computing. Good luck friend hope i helped you.

Google Earth

I have a LX5 cordless mouse that was part of my S510 desktop set. Prior to this set I had a seperate USB keyboard and generic optical usb mouse. I noticed after installing the SetPoint software that i lost all use of the middle mouse button. Here's how you can restore the use of the middle button. SetPoint reassigns the middle button so that it no longer functions as the default middle button function. This can be changed in the SetPoint configuration. (Look for the icon in your system tray) Click on My Mouse and select the middle button. It's number 3 on my list and was originally titled zoom, but, clicking on a button name will give you a picture of the button location on the picture to the left. Once you locate the middle wheel button, in column next to the list, under select task, select other, then from the drop down list, select middle button. apply and save your settings by clicking ok. pan and tilt will now work properly in google earth.
