Question about Miele WT 2780 Front Load Washer
I can't seem to get clothes dry. They keep coming out warm and damp. Have tried light loads and longer drying etc but nothing seems to work.

I just had a Miele tech fix this. There are several causes for this. One cause is a motor fault with the fan motor or a bad belt. Second issue is a blocked up condenser. Finally the issue is electronic and the electronic panel needs to be replaced. The electronic panel consists of small relays that can burn out.
My issue was the electronic panel.
To test a blocked up condenser, is to take the top panel off, and spin the fan motor (by hand). If you feel resistance, you have a clogged condenser which must be replaced (Always run 'Remove Fluff' cycle so this never happens after every dryer use).
To test the fan, take the connector off and 'carefully' connect to 220v to the fan motor (checking polarity). Only do this, after you reset the switch (found in the rectangle box in the middle of the Miele metalwork on top) and made sure the fan does not work automatically when a drying cycle is selected.
The most expensive repair is the eectronic module which costs £175 plus £99 Miele callout.

I've published some 'Tips' on the WT945's dryer problems. Hope these help, particularly stage 2 - you may have a buildup of fluff inside the dryer fan, which reduces drying power, even if the fan itself is still turning properly.
