Question about Epson AcuLaser C900 Printer
1) It began by displaying a flashing red light and static green light which in the book says "an easily recoverable fault". 2) I checked all the cartridges status and all was ok. ie: black, magenta, cyan & yellow. 3) Restarted printer still showing flashing red light fault and constant green led. 4) Removed photoconductor drum tested fuse and found it had blown so replaced unit 5) Restarted it then showed constant Red led and flashing Green, which book says is a protocol error so restarted it. 6) Now showing flashing red constant green. so installed another photoconductor drum. 8) Same fault lights again. 9) Replace all cartridges with new Epson items still same fault lights showing!

Sorry but It uses Durabrite ink which tends to turn into hard gel if not printed
at least once a week. Its less painful and expensive to just
throw the printer out and buy a new one. I recommend the canon PIXMA
ip3500. It lets you remove the printhead for cleaning unlike the Epson.
If you want to try your luck at unclogging the printer heres a link to
a unclogging kit but be warned that results are not guaranteed!
The C82 in addition to clogging also has a problem where the waste ink hose which is supposed to remove excess ink (so the printer dosent get clogged) gets disconnected and so the printer clogs even more. The C84 had this glitch fixed but alot of good that did!

Check for the tape that wraps all the way around the cartridge bottom it usually has a red line on one end like a tab DONOT REMOVE THE ONE THAT LOOKS LIKE WIRES ON IT.... is it still there if so remove it.............MAKE SURE THE CARTRIDGE IS SEATED PROPERLY IT DOESNT TAKE ALOT OF STRENGTH TO INSTALL.....

First make sure you are placing the right
color cartridge into the right slot.
Most Printers are touchy about the
installation of ink cartridges. If the
instructions say to press the cartridge
into the slot until you hear a loud click,
that's what they mean. If at first you
don't succeed, remove the cartridge and
reinsert it into the slot again and press
on it hard till it clicks.
Then your printer should work properly.
Hope this is of some help. Bud
