SOURCE: Dishwasher doesn't drain

Catriver: The dishwasher model is gsd5920do1bb. I probably posted the original problem in the wrong place. Does a similar fix apply? Sorry about the confusion. Greg

SOURCE: shu9915uc dishwasher wont drain

it should have water just below filter tray, if it does not actually empty then you have a blockage ,remove left side panel to gain access to drain pipe and side chamber. Regards Engineer

SOURCE: dishwasher not draining completely

If you take the toe panels off and look at the motor you will see the discharge anti-siphon tube there with the drain hose attached. That tube is the discharge major restriction point. Be careful not to destroy the anti-siphon valve, by pulling the bale, remove it, a flapper valve. If you can't see through the tube you have found the problem. Punch a screwdriver into it to dislodge the crap and clean it up. Put the anti-siphon valve back in as found and check it out. Be careful, when you remove the tube , water will come out of the pump assembly. If you remove the hose be sure to watch for water there also.

Water sits in bottom

If water does not drain at all then the drain pump could be blocked.
If only a little water is remaining but cycle is complete, then this is normal.
However, do check the kitchen drain is clear and you do not have a garbage disposer (insinkerator) in sink which is full. Normally empty it before you start the dishwasher.
Do you get any alarms (lights flashing etc)

Standing water in model FDB1050RESO frigidaire electrolux dishwasher 2005 model

Good Afternoon Friend,

I see that you have standing water in your Frigidaire dishwasher, model# FDB105RES. I would suggest trying the troubleshooting tips below:

• If your appliance is hooked up to a food waste disposer, make sure the disposer is empty.

• Check to see if the knockout plug has been removed from inside the food waste disposer inlet.

• Check to see if the drain hose is kinked.

• Make sure the cycle is complete and not in a pause mode.

If you are still having trouble with your dishwasher not draining, I recommend contacting either the manufacturer or a local authorized technician. Hope this helps.

-Best Regards-

I have a Hotpoint dishwasher (not sure of the exact model) that is not draining after the cycle is complete

I see this often. Something, gookus, glass, is probably clogged at the pump impeller or in the drain line. I also see the knockout plug still in after new garbage disposal install.
