Question about EliteGroup P4M800PRO-M478 Motherboard
Lol wow ;)
Lets assume you have all the right componets.
To make your pc work you need x things
Power Supply 24pin
Power Supply 4pin (same powersupply, should have this connector to)
DDR or DDR2 memory (You cannot use both)
Video Card (that board does have integrated video)
Hard Drive (SATA or IDE both can be used)
So all you need to do is connect your PSU to the main board. Make sure their is not 4 missing pins, if so then you only have a 20pin PSU.
Next plug in your Ram. Remember you cannot use DDR2 and DDR at the same time.
Insert your Processor, make sure your processor and socket are alighted to the arrow you will find in the corner of each. Do not FORCE a socket processor.
After that you need to install the heat sink. It looks like yours will most likely have the pain in the butt be careful not to 'get it on the edge" If you dont get the brackets on solid, when you try to connect the other side it will snap off the first side.
Here is the confusing part. You need to connect the case headers. You may or may not have usb connectors. With some luck you will have the type that are all together. Those will only plug in 1 way.
As for your speaker, HDD Led, PWR Led, PWR Switch, and RES Switch, you need to read the board header, or refer to the manual. I have included the link to the manual to help.

or read the manual that comes with it. Ram goes in the two blue slots, sound & modem in white PCI slots, video in orange AGP slot. You can't put cards in the wrong slots.
